The Jets have done their due diligence with draft prospects this off-season, bringing in most of the top wide receivers and cornerbacks of the class. However, ESPN’s Adam Schefter is reporting that Logan Thomas will be in the building today to workout.

We ‘selected’ Logan Thomas to the Jets in round six of our mock draft.

While Thomas was very inconsistent on the collegiate level, he was able to demonstrate the ability to make big plays in key situations – sometimes with his legs. Thomas (6’6″, 248 lbs) is a developmental prospect that could provide team or trade value within the next 2-3 seasons, a la Colin Kaepernick.

Thomas was recruited out of high school as a tight end, wide receiver, and H-back. He was actually somewhat reluctant to make the switch to quarterback after joining Virginia Tech, so a NFL position change could be another possibility.
