Joydeep Karmakar: A Brief Biography

Joydeep Karmakar is an Indian shooter who represented India at 2012 Summer Olympics[2] in Men\'s 50m Rifle Prone event. Joydeep qualified for the finals of Men\'s 50m Rifle Prone event with a score of 595. He finished 7th in the shoot off among the nine tied shooters, thereby qualifying for the final round. In the final he scored 104.1 and with a total of 699.1 he finished fourth, 1.9 points behind the bronze medal winner, Rajmond Debevec of Slovenia. He was also conferred with the Arjuna award in the year 2012.
