Nacer Chadli: A Brief Biography

Chadli was born on 2nd of August, 1989 in Liège, Belgium. He is a Belgian professional footballer who plays as a winger. He currently plays for the French club Monaco and the Belgian National Team.


Background


He started his youth career in the year 1994 representing JS Thier-à-Liège club. He later shifted to Standard Liège in the year 1998 and continued his journey till the year 2005 with the club and had short stints with MVV in his youth career.


Debut


He made his professional debut in the year in the 2007 playing for AGOVV Apeldoorn in the Eerste Divisie League. He scored his maiden goal for the club against FC Volendam.


He made his international debut in the year 2010 with Monaco but however only played a single match for the country as he shifted to Belgium.


His debut with Belgium was in the year 2011 against Azerbaijan which ended with a winning score of 4-1.


Rise to glory


Chadli is an attacking midfielder as well as a winger who can play on the either sides because of his ability to use his both the legs.


In the year 2014, he scored 2 goals as his team Tottenham went on to defeat Queens Park Rangers with a score of 4-0.


Low points


Intercepting his form of life, an injury struck Chadli which made sure he was out of football for a quite a bit of time. This incident was followed by another tragedy as his father passed away.


However, he returned to the form as he scored 2 back to back goals in the successive matches against Southampton and Newcastle United.


Club career


He started his career with AGOVV Apeldoorn in the Eerste Divisie League in 2007 making a total of 93 appearances scoring 29 goals. Later shifted to FC Twente in the Eredivisie league in the year 2011 as he scored 40 goals in 123 appearances. He joined the Premier League with Tottenham in the year 2014 scoring 25 goals in 119 appearances. He scored 6 goals in 36 appearances playing for West Bromwich Albion in 2016-17 and 17-18 season.
