Robinho Biography
Robinho is a Brazilian footballer who was born on 25th January 1984 in Sao Vicente, Brazil. He often plays as a winger, the main striker, and even an attacking midfielder. Known for his ball control, dribbling skills, and agile movements, Robinho was a part of the Brazilian team for two FIFA World Cups.
Background
At the age of 15, Robinho was laid upon a big responsibility of becoming an heir apparent to football legend Pele. He went further to play for Santos FC, a club specifically chosen because of Pele’s history with it.
He moved to senior football in 2002 with a debut for Real Madrid. He was given a number 10 jersey, previously worn by Luis Figo. He made a good effort in his first season, scoring 14 goals. In 2008, Robinho left the club whilst showing a desire to join Chelsea.
Robinho moved to Manchester City instead, stating that he had always wanted to play for it all along. Robinho started playing for Manchester City on 1st September 2008 through the transfer window. He signed a four-year deal for about 41 million pounds.
He scored his first Premier League goal on 13th September, 2008 against Chelsea.

Debut
Robinho made his debut for Brazil in a 2003 CONCACAF Gold Cup match against Mexico. However, he was part of the U23 team of Brazil.
In 2006, he participated in the FIFA World Cup but was majorly used as a substitute. Since the 2007 Copa America, Robinho became a regular in the team, establishing himself as a leading forward in the word. Apart from winning the Golden Boot, he was also named the player of the tournament
He was part of the 2009 Confederations Cup winning Brazil team and also a major player in the 2010 FIFA World Cup.
After a poor 2011 Copa America, he lost his permanent place in the team and was in and out for a long period.
He was awarded his 100th international ca for Brazil during the 2016 Rio Olympics against Colombia.
Low points
While playing for Manchester City, he suffered an injury and ended up missing three months of the game. In his 2012-2013 season at Milan, he suffered another injury while playing against Sampdoria.
In 2013-2014, he suffered an injury in his left thigh and a dislocated shoulder.

As a club, Robinho won many awards, for eg. Campeonato Brasileiro in 2002 and 2004. He also won some La Liga and FIFA Confederation in 2005 and 2009.
