Sanam Singh: A Brief Biography

Sanam Krishan Singh is a Professional Tennis player from India. He rose to prominence while at college at the University of Virginia in the USA. Sanam won the gold medal in the doubles and bronze medal in the team event in 2010 Asian Games. Sanam Ranked as high as No. 4 in the ITF junior rankings. Played all four junior grand slams, Reached the round of 16 at the Junior Australian Open and Junior Wimbledon, 2005 Asian Closed Junior Championship and Asia/Oceana Closed Championship singles champion. In summer of 2007, reached the quarterfinals of a Futures Circuit event in India, defeating a four-time NCAA singles participant at the event. He has a number of plaudits and acclaims to his credit. He was selected to play in the India Davis Cup Team for trip to Russia for World Group first round. He was part of the Indian team that competed at India Asian Games Team for Guangzhou, China which won the Gold and Bronze medals in doubles.
