The Scotland national rugby team’s head coach Vern Cotter has made 10 changes that will face the United States of America in their 2nd group stage match at the 2015 Rugby World Cup. The Scotland camp is keen on continuing to promote the entire bench from 45-10 win against Japan in their 1st group match.

The head coach confirmed that the players who took part in the win against Japan either are ‘tired’ or are carrying bumps and bruises.

He said, “We may have to change our team an hour before kick off. There are still guys who haven't trained 100% since the Japan game and are carrying bumps and bruises. It's about energy. There are guys coming in bringing a new energy to the side,” as BBC reports.

The 53-year old coach did not want the rule that states that the team should be allowed to confirm their teams 1 hour before the kickoff to be implemented. In the current scenario, the teams should send in their complete confirm team sheet well before the game.

“We are always working and looking for things on which to improve”: Cotter

He added, “I just try to work with the rules laid down. We knew what it was going to be like. We just have to get on with it. We've known this schedule for a long time and have tried to keep continuity in selection while also introducing fresh legs to what will be another very physical challenge this Sunday."

The United States national rugby team went down 16-25 in their opening Pool B match to Samoa and have a difficult task to try and win against the formidable Scotland side.

Cotter is hopeful of a good show against the United States and said, “"I was pleased with both the commitment and composure against Japan, particularly towards the end of the game. However, we are always working and looking for things on which to improve. Hopefully, we'll see the result of that this Sunday in another very important Test match in our pool."
