DHL Corporate Champions of the TCS World 10 2015 rescheduled to later date

17th May 2015, Bengaluru: Procam International was happy to announce the success of the TCS World 10 K Bengaluru, thanks to the hard work and dedication of all the volunteers, officials, city authorities and the team involved in the execution of this Race. Despite torrid weather conditions from the previous day, which stretched every resource of ours beyond imagination, the event has delivered on its promise of being an exceptional sporting movement.

However, there was an unfortunate situation with the DHL Corporate Champions category. The DHL CC was flagged off as scheduled at 8:20 AM and while exiting the north gate of the stadium, the participants took a left turn instead of a right on Kasturba road. This was due to the premature moving of the Mojo Barricades, at North Gate, by our volunteers and officials. This re-aligning of barricades, at North Gate, is required to be done, in order to receive the Elite Women athletes. This caused confusion amongst the runners in this category, with many taking the wrong route.

Race officials, led by Race Director Hugh Jones, made all efforts to intercept them and return them for a re-start from Kanteerava stadium.

The re-start happened at 0855 hrs with over 200 participants, but this could not address nor satisfy the issue.

Thus accepting the mistake made in the premature re-aligninging of the Mojo Barricades, Procam International today announced the following rectifying measures:

a) All the entrants to the DHL Corporate Champions (309 Corporate Teams), will be reimbursed full entry fees.

b) Participants who maintained race-route and completed the race will be issued their timing certificates, as 10 K finishers.

c) The race will be rescheduled to a date within the next four weeks, based on feedback from the participating corporates

D) Approvals and permissions from relevant authorities and stakeholders will be obtained and a race route, will be charted and communicated well in advance.

Procam International takes responsibility for this error and will thoroughly look into its cause, to avoid any future occurrences.
