Three Indians make the cut for ISSF World Cup Finals

Jitu Rai will compete in the 10M and 50M pistol competitions

Three Indians, Jitu Rai, Sanjeev Rajput and Mairaj Ahmad Khan will represent India at the season-ending ISSF World Cup Finals shooting competition, to be held in the cities of Bologna and Rome in Italy next month.

The rifle and pistol event will be held in Bologna from October 4-10 and the shotgun event is scheduled to be held in Rome from October 10-16.

Jitu Rai will be participating in two events, the Men’s 10M and 50M Pistol, while experienced Sanjeev Rajput will start in the Men’s 50M Rifle 3 Positions competition. Mairaj will be participating in the Men’s Skeet.

The season-ending competition brings together the top eight performers of the year in each discipline, along with defending champions as well as, in an Olympic year, all medalists at the Olympics.

A total of 119 shooters from 34 countries will be represented in the rifle and pistol event while 58 participants from 26 countries will take part in the Shotgun event
