XIX India KSS Inter-school Shooting Championship 2015 ends in New Delhi

New Delhi: The XIX India KSS inter-school Shooting Championship, the country’s biggest shooting championship on virtual reality, drew to a close yesterday with tremendous success.

Non-profit SportzCraft organized the 2nd SportzCraft and XIX INDIA KSS INTER SCHOOL Shooting Championship 2015. More than 6000 candidates participated in the event, in which more than 50 shooters won gold.

The event was unique in many ways. It was the first time in the history of any sports tournament that a shooting champion is being watched on Virtual Reality Technology.

The event redefines how sports like shooting championships can be watched. This championship was an initiative to give a platform for many to showcase their shooting skills as well as to prepare them for the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio.

Winners of this championship will have a direct entry to the Nationals. The event, which started on October 12th, saw a lot of new sporting talent and indicated a promising future for Indian Shooters.

On the occasion of closing ceremony Mr Baljit Singh, advisor at the National Rifles Association of India (NRAI) said, “It is so great to see all the participants from different states, enthusiastically participated in such a big championship. We all are looking forward to see all the winners in the pre-nationals.”

Vipen Vig, promoter, Sportzcraft said, “Today is our closing ceremony, and we are proud to see all the winners of the Championship, and we congratulate them for their success in near future. Sportzcraft has given a big platform to all the shooters to showcase their talent and make a career in shooting sports.”

He further added, “We are here to promote the shooting sports with Virtual Reality which has been launched for the first time by Sportzcraft and it is giving a real experience to the people who loves watching videos and being used in other businesses like shopping etc and this has been introduced for the betterment of the sports like shooting and planning to redefine other sports as well”
