3 possible opponents for John Cena if he loses at WWE Hell in a Cell 2014

A wrestler who has unmatchable star quality like John Cena ending up in the mid card of WrestleMania this year gave the fans a lot of hope about where his character would be taken next. Those expectations were shattered thanks to the WWE creative team who went back to square one with the Cenation leader. He now has a date set with Randy Orton at Hell in a Cell where the winner would go on to face Brock Lesnar for the WWE championship. Now, on any other occasion, the fans would’ve expected Cena to come out winning the match but this one could end up being a different scenario. Orton is on the verge of moving back to the good side now and he would make up a fresh opponent for Lesnar as well. This makes Viper the favorite in the match leaving Cena to search for a new feud after Hell in a Cell and here are the possible ones he could walk into.

#3 Triple H

The fans need not be reminded about the awesome chemistry that Cena and Hunter have. After taking up the Authority gimmick, Hunter has managed to put over many stars due to the heel heat he has been having but WWE wisely kept Cena away from all these.

With the 50-50 reaction that Cena gets every time he walks down that ramp, it would be hard to pit a regular heel against the Cenation leader.

What he needs is an established veteran who the fans would love to hate. And Hunter has been playing that role exceptionally well over the past year making him the ideal choice.

Stephanie McMahon would be an excellent add on to the feud as well since we know how entertaining that trio could in in mic and how good Hunter and Cena can be in between the ropes.

#2 Rusev

After coming into the main roster, Rusev definetly has taken out some big names. He is slowly progressing into the big leagues now and Big Show looks set to be the latest causality of the Bulgarian Brute’s rise.

No matter how well the WWE builds up Big Show to be we all know how the match would end up in Hell in a Cell. The job of Show would be to get Rusev over as a real monster heel and once that job is done, Rusev will need a new foe.

There have been rumors about Rusev getting an angle with Cena and after his segment with the Rock, the rumors seems alive.

WWE wouldn’t have a tough time projecting Cena as a patriot and since Cena only needs a buffer feud before his score settler with Lesnar, Rusev would fit in well into the void.

#1 Bray Wyatt

Bray Wyatt already had his chance to face Cena and it was a feud worth watching to be frank. Bray’s character which was trying to bring out the monster in Cena made an intriguing storyline but the purpose of Bray was lost somewhere making it a big mess.

The eater of the worlds ended up looking like a loser in the end and was immediately put into another unsuccessful feud against Chris Jericho. The end of which saw Bray win a steel cage match against Jericho.

Bray went on to take a break from the television after that but captured the attention of fans with his cryptic messages.

Bray looks reborn after taking the break and WWE could make matter right the second time and give some good booking for the duo.
