Coming into the match on the back of a 0-0 draw in the first leg of the Champions League semi final, visiotrs

Barcelona were hopeful of a win away at Stamford Bridge.

To everyone’s surprise, Chelsea took an early lead into the game through Michael Essien's phenomenal goal from 25 yards out, that left the visitors shocked and in need of a quick response.

The game which was hotly contested between two strong sides saw Abidal being red carded in the 65th minute of the match, meaning Barcelona had to find the equaliser and to complete the game with 10 men.

Chelsea had done pretty well throughout both legs of the semi-finals; they had managed to stop Barcelona from scoring for 180 minutes, and even though Barcelona enjoyed lion's share of possession, they couldn't find the back of the net.

Towards the end of injury time, Andres Iniesta was awarded too much room, which was enough to beat Peter Cech from 20 yards out, the atmosphere at Stamford Bridge was chaotic as that goal from Iniesta meant Barcelona would go through to the final on away goal rule, and that was the case, eventually Barcelona progressed to the Final of the Champions League on away goal rule, Thanks to Andres Iniesta's last minute equaliser.
