For a company that churns out content throughout the week on television and on social media, it is expected that they come out with something momentous every week. This week saw some more developments unravel on the road to Wrestlemania and some of them were worth replaying. The week saw some valuable character development and that may just make a huge difference as the company comes closer to showcasing its biggest show of the year. Paul Heyman, as always, continued his unparallelled streak of great promos. But this week he went beyond that(if that was ever possible). WWE was this and much more this past week. Here are the five best moments of the week that was -

#1 Breathless

‘Breathless’ is not only a 1960 classic by Jean Luc Godard. ‘Breathless’ is not just a great song by Shankar Mahadevan. Breathless is a word that may just come to one’s mind while watching Paul Heyman’s promo on Raw this past week. After his microphone got cut off for a few seconds, he went on a rampage of making sure evryone remembers the legend of Brock Lesnar. He talked about Lesnar probably going to UFC and unifying the titles and mentioned his well documented credentials and when he said that anyone who hampers Lesnar’s path won’t leave the stadium alive, you just believed that.

Paul Heyman is an important factor in making this feud work and he’s playing his part with aplomb.

#2 All that crumbles

Mark Henry and Roman Reigns delivered one of the better segments of the year. Henry did all the talking and he laid out the story quite well. He talked about identity and respect and they were words that instantly caught your attention. And this segment did convincingly what WWE has been trying to do all year long- it made Reigns look really, really strong. He rammed into Henry with a fierce spear through the barricade. The way he did, sprinting from across the other side of the ring, almost doing a 360 degree turn, was well worth it.

#3 Ruthless Aggression

In the 10 years that John Cena’s been the face of the company, he’s been more repetitive than any other performer. That is the one reason he’s attracted a lot of detractors. It has been rare to see a hardcore fan enjoy what Cena does instead of booing him off. But the tide started to change when CM Punk became his sworn enemy and greatest rival and it was spectacular. Since then, we’ve witnessed the best of Cena. he’s been decimated by Lesnar and rendered unconscious by Rusev and beaten clean by Daniel Bryan.

On Monday, he rendered Rusev unconscious and then poured water on him to bring him back to consciousness only to lock him again in the STF. It was ruthless aggression and something which hasn’t been repeated by Cena himself.

#4 Mind games have begun

The Undertaker was omnipresent on Raw as he unleashed his trademark mind game. Bray Wyatt kept on calling him out to no avail in the past week. This week, he brought the urn to the fore and then there was a response, albeit without The Undertaker actually making an appearance. He burned Sister Abigail’s chair(which has already been battered by Dean Ambrose) and in his own way he accepted Bray Wyatt’s calling.

#5 Daniel Bryan\'s Road to Wrestlemania

The Intercontinental Championship match is finally complete. Daniel Bryan has finally made his way into the official mix of the match and with its eclectic performers, this match promisies to be one of the best and most anticipated matches of the PPV. It has a nostalgia factor with superstars wanting to bring back its lost prestige and making it as exciting as it was when Bret hart, Mr. Perfect, Shawn Michaels, Rock and Stone Cold were holding it.
