Sunil Narine

Of late, several top international cricketers have been reported for doubtful actions. Pakistanoff-spinner Saeed Ajmal has been banned from bowling after all his deliveries were found to be exceeding the 15-degree limit. There are afew other bowlers in world cricket who seem to bowl with dodgy actions.Heres a list of 5 bowlers who could be reported for the samein the future.

#1 Sunil Narine

Sunil Narine

The 26-year-old West Indian mystery spinner was first reported for a dodgy action after the Champions League T20 (CLT20) game against the Dolphins at Hyderabad. He was subsequently barred from bowling in the final, which severely hampered the chances of his franchise Kolkata Knight Riders.

Unlike Ajmal, only one specific ball – the faster delivery – of Narine was found to be exceeding the allowable limit. Unless the Trinidadian works hard to make changes to his action while bowling the quicker delivery, he could face problems in international cricket, as well.

#2 Mohammad Hafeez

The 33-year-old former Pakistan Twenty20 captain was reported for a doubtful action after the CLT20 game against the Dolphins in Bangalore.

Hafeez is not part of the Pakistan squad that is currently playing the limited overs series against Australia and hence has time on his hands to rectify his bowling action. He is the second Pakistani spinner, after Saeed Ajmal, to have been reported for a suspect action this year.

#3 Pragyan Ojha

Pragyan Ojha

Among the Indian spinners in world cricket, if there’s someone who seems to have a dodgy action, it would be Pragyan Ojha, the man from Hyderabad.

The left-arm spinner played his last International game for India during Sachin Tendulkar’s farewell series last November and has a lot of time at this disposal to erase any minor chinks that might have crept up in his action.

#4 Kevon Cooper

The first and only medium pacer in the list, Kevon Cooper from the West Indies was reported for a suspect action during this year’s Indian Premier League. The 25-year-old isn’t in the international radar, yet, but has the potential to be selected given his abilities with the bat. He would do well to be prepared for the scrutiny that lies in wait.

#5 Ambati Rayudu

Ambati Rayudu

The 29-year-old Hyderabad batsman was employed by MS Dhoni during the tours of New Zealand and England as a part-time option. Rayudu even claimed the wicket of Alastair Cook during the 3rd ODI of the 5-match series in Old Blighty; however, while bowling against both the countries, his bowling action seemed to be unconvincing. He must ensure that he makes the required changes to his action before landing himself in any kind of trouble.
