5 feuds that Kurt Angle could have if he returns to WWE

From the stars that WWE has lost over the years to TNA, there might not be anyone bigger than Kurt Angle. Considered as one of the best athletes in the business, he spent some ridiculously long time in TNA and missed a lot of great years in WWE.With his contract expiring at September, the chances of him resigning with a sinking ship arent that high.A former TNA wrestler Jesse Neal claimed that he earns more working in Wal-Mart than working for TNA. It certainly was a jab into their heart and the company may be heading to the pits. The options Angle has left will be WWE and Jeff Jarretts GFW.But the WWE fans are optimistic about the Olympic gold medalist making a big return, so here is a look at the best feuds he could have if he does so.

#5 Alberto Del Rio

It may sound like a joke at the moment but Del Rio and Angle could give some great matches. Despite not getting a push, there aren’t any doubts about how technically brilliant Del Rio is.

His character has been stale for some time but the Mexican has always managed to keep his in ring performance well above the average line.

A returning Kurt Angle would kick Del Rio back into significance and since Angle knows how to wrestler it won’t end up like WWE’s attempt to get Batista over.

Angle and Del Rio could be put into a series of matches which could remind the fans how brilliant these two are inside the ring. The fact that they never faced before adds more to the feud. Some handy mic work from both sides would be a nice touch as well.

#4 John Cena

Cena and Angle have a lot of history between them and Cena even made his debut upsetting Angle. They also had a great chemistry every time they faced off.

During Cena’s time at SmackDown, Angle was instrumental in putting Cena over. Angle returning and having a heel run against Cena will have a clear shock factor to it.

Angle had great heel runs in WWE and it will be some memory refreshment for everyone on what TNA has been wasting.

Fans may even see him as a face being pitted against Cena due to the polarizing nature of the Cenation leader. The matches between them might not be up to the levels of their previous clashes, but Cena still has some good matches under his belt to give.

#3 Bad News Barrett

In his initial run in WWE, Angle put over some young talent along with having some great matches with top stars. And after returning as a veteran, Angle could just do the same.

Barrett has been on a hot run recently and seems to be set for winning the intercontinental title. he is an exciting prospect in the ring and on the mic while being arrogant as hell.

Arrogance is something that used to define Angle back in his days which could set up a great clash between the two. A veteran trying to teach a youngster some lesson would make a good storyline. Angle could put Barrett over well and Barrett could get more respect from the fans if he produces a great effort in the match even if he loses.

Adding the intercontinental title into it could also be a great thing as Angle’s involvement would make the title more relevant.

#2 Cesaro

Cesaro is one of those wrestlers in the current roster who could match up to the caliber of Angle. He has been wooing the fans with the in ring skills and WWE has gave him a big boost in form of Paul Heyman.

Heyman and Angle had some friction back in the ECW days and some other occasions after that which could be the storyline, an angered Heyman who wants to spoil Angle’s big return to WWE. Cesaro could be stuck as a heel for some more time but the feud is eventually going to benefit him.

Cesaro and Angle are considered among the best technicians in the world and it surely will produce fireworks when these two gets into the ring.

Angle doesn’t have to win the match as well since he won’t lose any respect of the fans if he falls for Cesaro. Cesaro on the other hand will have another big thing to add to his resume as well.

#1 Daniel Bryan

It’s a dream match, period.

Over the years, Angle faced almost every big name that the business had to offer including Steve Austin, Sting, Undertaker, Brock Lesnar, John Cena, Shawn Michaels, Triple H and even Samoa Joe.

But WWE apparently has a new kid on the block, Daniel Bryan.

Bryan grew over with the fans due to the sheer resilience and in ring skills he had, which certainly reminds about the starting days of Angle.

The fans would die to see the match happen at WWE and most importantly it will be the wrestlers who would want it more. Bryan still has a long journey ahead of him and getting a match with Angle would be priceless.

Angle also could complete the impressive list of competitors he faced before he heads back for retirement.
