5 possible winners for Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal

This past Monday night on Raw, Hulk Hogan announced a 30-man 'Andre the Giant Memorial' battle royal for WrestleMania XXX in memory of Andre the Giant and for celebrating 30 years of WrestleMania. It is a great move by the WWE which is fulfilling several purposes - it is honoring a legend like Andre the Giant, it is celebrating the 30th anniversary of the biggest pro wrestling show and most importantly, it is giving those wrestlers who couldn't break in the WrestleMania match card a chance to shine at "the Grandest Stage of them all" and kick-start (or restart) their career. With 30 men in the ring you can expect a lot of competition in the match but these particular stars are going to outlast others and maybe even win the match.

#1 Sheamus

The 2012 Royal Rumble winner has been feuding with Christian ever since he returned. The feud, which has been nothing but boring all the time, seems to be over for a while after Sheamus defeated Christian in a Memphis Street Fight match on Raw (which was entertaining). And it looks like that both Sheamus and Christian will be a part of the Battle Royal because it doesn't look like that WWE will give these two their own matches at 'Mania.

A speed breaker in this feud would give Sheamus and Christian the time to focus on other wrestlers who are participating in the Battle Royal, so that things spice up a bit at WrestleMania and during the match they could re-ignite their rivalry.

Sheamus' chances in the match look good because he has been one of the most consistent performers in three consecutive Royal Rumbles (2012-2014). He won the 2012 Royal Rumble and was the second runner-up in both 2013 and 2014.

And it will be a good move by the WWE if they make Sheamus win the trophy because that win will rejuvenate Sheamus' career, which hasn't picked up the pace since his return.

#2 Big E

The Intercontinental Champion was the first one to announce his participation in the battle royal and no one's going to wonder if he is the only one left in the ring when the battle royal ends.

Excluding the Intercontinental Championship match from WrestleMania XXX is a big risk that WWE are willing to take but including someone as strong and dominating as Big E in a battle royal will always make that match more exciting.

Big E didn't get the chance to prove himself in January's Royal Rumble as he entered the match at (what should've been Daniel Bryan's number) #29, but this time nobody is going to stop Big E from wrecking havoc.

#3 Alexander Rusev

It's been weeks now since Lana and Alexander have been giving daily promos about the Bulgarian heavyweight's forthcoming debut. And it looks like all this is a build-up for his Battle Royal match at WrestleMania, a reason for why he hasn't been in action since Royal Rumble.

Rusev, who has been excellent in NXT, has already been in the ring with the main roster. It was in the 2014 Royal Rumble match where Rusev wrestled alongside the main roster and made it clear that how strong he is when it required the teamwork of four men (CM Punk, Seth Rollins, Cody Rhodes and Kofi Kingston) to eliminate the Bulgarian giant.

You can bet your money on Alexander Rusev because he is going to deliver at WrestleMania, and maybe even win the match.

#4 Dolph Ziggler

Ziggler announced his participation in the Battle Royal on SmackDown, where he defeated Alberto Del Rio to end their recent (exciting) mid card feud.

This win would increase Ziggler's momentum which has been suffering a lot since past several months. And a win at WrestleMania will rejuvenate this former World Heavyweight Champion's falling career, who has suffered a lot at the hands of the WWE management.

Ziggler is an amazing wrestler and entertainer, one of the best mid card wrestlers in the company and if WWE chooses to push him then it will be the best possible thing for everyone involved - WWE, Ziggler and the WWE Universe.

Of course there is competition to win the Battle Royal but clearly a lot of people want Ziggler to win the match and he deserves it, he has worked extremely hard all the way in the company and it's time for the WWE to finally reward him.

#5 Roman Reigns

The man who totally dominated the 2014 Royal Rumble might get his chance at redemption at WrestleMania, but only if he enters the match.

A recent strengthening of The Shield followed by a hint towards a 'face' turn indicates towards a tag team match between The Shield and a team led by their new rival, Kane (who might have Harper and Rowan as his tag team partners) at WrestleMania XXX. But, we can't rule out their participation in the Battle Royal as WWE need 30 stars for the match.

And, if Reigns steps his foot inside the ring for the Battle Royal, he just might break his own (newly created record) of 12 eliminations. Let's hope that WWE does what's best for business by picking the right participants and a deserving winner for the match that would make or break somebody's career.
