5 Superstars who will shine at Extreme Rules 2014

With WWEs Extreme Rules just around the corner, the creative team has been putting on some heavy duty to make sure that the pay-per-view live up to the expectations.A big flow of new talents and some intriguing storyline coming out of WrestleMania will be the foundation for the same but one advantage that the writers will have at their disposal will be the mindset of the superstars.WrestleMania proved the stage for only a handful of names to shine leaving the rest of the roster eager to make an impact. And with Extreme Rules being the next big stage for doing the same, the wrestlers would certainly step up their game.So here is a look at some names that could steal the show at Extreme Rules.

#5 Daniel Bryan

Apparently everything that Bryan touches turned into gold in the whole WrestleMania season. And he ended up with some gold himself giving us a moment that we could mesmerize for years to come.

But the fact is, there is a lot more that Bryan could give with his current run.

Riding high on momentum, Bryan is sure to put up a performance of his life no matter who his opponent is going to be at the pay-per-view. Unlike the previous ones, him going into Extreme Rules as the champion also makes it feel a bit fresh.

Bryan no longer is the underdog that is pulled down by the Authority, he is the champion who will do everything to keep hold of this title and that’s a motivation which will raise the bar.

#4 Paige

She shocked the whole world when she snatched the title from AJ Lee and ended AJ’s one year long title reign. It was a change that the fans were asking for but one complaint that rose was about the way she won it.

Anyone who followed NXT and saw Paige wrestling there might be well aware about what she could do in the ring. Known as the female CM Punk, Paige has a move set that would make Punk proud.

However, she didn’t get a chance to showcase those at Raw since the WWE gave her the title on a short match. But the feud between AJ and Paige has only begun. It’s likely that WWE would give AJ her rematch at Extreme Rules which is sure to produce fireworks.

And knowing her, she is not going to let an opportunity to shine slip through.

#3 Bray Wyatt

After taking a fall to John Cena at WrestleMania, Bray made it clear that he will go to extreme measure to bring out the monster inside him. And being such a demonic character, Extreme Rules could turn out to the backyard of Bray and the graveyard of Cena.

WWE would be wise enough to add some extreme stipulation to the match which will benefit Bray more.

In the match he had with Daniel Bryan at Royal Rumble, he flourished as a dominant character and was making use of his surrounding to keep the flying goat down.

And when WWE finally lets him out of the limits to unleash Cena’s demons, it’s going to be something worth matching. However, the writers might want to keep Luke Harper and Erick Rowan away to avoid it being a handicap fest.

#2 Cesaro

Like Daniel Bryan, the fans have started to embrace Cesaro and the new direction that the company is giving him.

He reached unprecedented heights at WrestleMania and made a much bigger impact on the Raw which was followed by him becoming the new Paul Heyman guy. Everything sat well with the WWE Universe so far and he is not going to slip anything out of these hands after reaching this far.

From the looks of it, Cesaro looks set to face Jack Swagger at the pay-per-view and it’s going to be a clash that will completely dissect Cesaro from his Real American gimmick.

The King of Swing is destined for big things after that so expect Extreme Rules to be the inception of Cesaro as a main event star.

#1 Roman Reigns

WWE has been drunk on Reigns for a long time now. They gave him big pushes at Survivor Series and Royal Rumble before messing things up at WrestleMania.

The fans that expected Reigns to break out at WrestleMania were made to wait and now there are reports arising that SummerSlam maybe the time where he breaks out as a singles wrestler. But for that the WWE needs a credible buildup.

And Extreme Rules sets a great stage for the same. The Shield probably will be going up against the lights of established names like Orton, Batista, Triple H or Kane and Reigns getting a big scratch with any of them is sure to pile up the momentum for him.

Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose could complement the big guy well as well, but WWE needs to make Reigns the fulcrum of the trio which promises a great performance from him.
