5 things WWE fans should stop complaining about

No matter how loyal a fan is to the sport that he follows, one trait that he or she often boasts about is the authority to complaint. The same is applicable to every wrestling fan out there; in fact, the complaining is on a larger scale when it comes to professional wrestling.Over the years, most of the promoters have felt the wrath of the fans whenever they made a bad booking decision. This might be because of the fact that wrestling is a business that gets the breathing air from fans. However, sometimes these criticisms are over the top. There are some baseless arguments made by the fans at some points and WWE has been the victim of such attacks for a few years now. And here is a look at some of those things that the fans should stop complaining about.

#5 Not bringing back the Attitude Era

One of the biggest problems of WWE fans have been their love with the past. Most of them draw comparisons between the current product and the one that WWE had back when there was a certain WCW as competition.

What they want is to have more edgy product which gave emphasis on the adult oriented interests for which ECW was known for. Back when Vince McMahon pulled off the Attitude Era, the company belonged to him.

He didn’t have to satisfy many shareholders and a lot of sponsors or even his wife who wasn’t running for Senate back then.

It’s a whole different story now; no matter how bad the fans complain, the WWE is not bringing back the Attitude Era which to be frank was a bit overrated.

#4 Superstars with goofy gimmicks

Damien Sandow is running around as a guy who has an identity crisis, so what? John Cena started out his career as a rapper who failed as a heel and turned into a face. I’m not saying that all the goofy gimmicks that WWE bring out is good, it’s just that the wrestlers doesn’t get enough credit for doing them.

The fans are blindly involved in complaining about how superstars should be booked that most of them forget the amount of work that superstars put into such characters.

And these same fans enjoy the same characters if they are depicted on a silver screen or some daily soap.

These are people who believe that such gimmicks are taboo in professional wrestling but one thing that needs to be understood is that not everyone could be in the main event at the same time.

#3 How WWE book their part timers

Part timers and fans have never been able to establish a good happy relationship with eachother. No matter how big the superstar is, the WWE Universe always found time to lash out at every wrestler who came in on a short time basis.

Regular superstars getting over looked in favor of such names might’ve been the reason for this. However, on a wider angle you can’t actually blame the WWE.

First of all, they are pretty much dead slow in making new stars which forces them to rely on the established stars every now and then.

And apparently they bring back these superstars because these same fans ask them to. For instance there are fans who want to see Goldberg back in WWE right now and when he finally arrives he will be given the ‘Batista’ treatment again.

#2 End of the streak at WrestleMania 30

This complaint is apparently the freshest one on the list. The fans have been head on heels unhappy about how WWE made Undertaker’s streak end at WrestleMania.

A part timer like Lesnar coming around and ending the two decade long legacy just like that was incredibly hard for some to digest. Whenever a WrestleMania 30 review is taken into context, Taker’s streak ending is pointed out as a botch.

Now, everyone who saw that match would be aware of the condition that Taker was in when he faced Lesnar. There weren’t many matches left in him and Taker was literally running on fumes.

Everyone who wishes that Taker’s streak would’ve been extended simply is not considering about his welfare or what he is apart from being a character in WWE.

#1 John Cena

John Cena won the WWE title, John Cena buried him, John Cena shouldn’t have won that match, John Cena hanged out with a sick kid, John Cena fulfilled 500 wishes, John Cena did that, John Cena did that, at this moment, anything that Cena does receives a lot of criticism from the fans.

For what?

He is someone who has been giving his blood and sweat for the company for more than a decade now. There might not be anyone in the roster that has a tighter schedule that Cena at this moment.

Cena is not someone who had the easy route to stardom. He started out in the development, he didn’t have a good push initially, it was just his dedication and work rate that took him to where he is now.

Cena simply deserves everything he has now. And as far as the booking he gets is concerned, he wins because Dolph Ziggler being in the poster is not going to make all these complaining fans buy the pay-per-views.
