5 WWE rumors that were perpetuated through Shoot Videos

Steve Austin vs. Shawn Michaels at WrestleMania 14

John Cena and Mickie JamesStarting a rumor is probably the easiest thing in the wrestling business. There are a lot of dirt sheets out there which connect the random words that come out of a superstar’s mouth and transform them into rumors. Such transformations have led to a lot of ridiculous rumors about the wrestling business and most of them are still unsolved.Shoot videos, in particular, have been a great source of such rumors and we had enough of them to make a list. From the gay story of Shawn Michaels and Vince McMahon to the affair between Stephanie McMahon and Randy ‘The Macho Man’ Savage, here is a look at those rumors that started out from Shoot Videos.

#6 Honorable Mention: Undertaker threatening Shawn Michaels

Steve Austin vs. Shawn Michaels at WrestleMania 14

A lot of people had their say about what happened backstage during WrestleMania 14. Shawn Michaels and Steve Austin were supposed to face off and Shawn apparently had plans of making a fool out of Steve Austin.

Undertaker, who came to know about the same, threatened Michaels. Michaels later claimed that Undertaker never did the same but the rumor is still making rounds.

#5 The Gay affair of Vince McMahon and Shawn Michaels

Vince McMahon and Shawn Michaels

There have been a lot of discussions about the gay affair of Vince McMahon and Shawn Michaels in the wrestling business. It all started when Road Warrior Hawk said that Michaels and Vince had a sexual relationship. Hawk, at the time, was not in a good relationship with WWE and had nothing to back up what he said.

The rumor is yet to be proven till day, but Vince and Shawn are known to be very close. Vince cried and had given Michaels a hug after the retirement speech of the Heart Break Kid at the 2011 Hall of Fame ceremony. Vince also used to pay Michaels while he was out of work from 1998 to 2002. Read between the lines if you want to.

#4 John Cena\'s affair with Mickie James

John Cena and Mickie Jame

John Cena is currently projected as the ideal role model. However, if we go by the rumors that former Spirit Squad member Kenny Doane kicked off, the whole glass castle surrounding Cena is sure to come crashing down. Kenny was dating Mickie James at one point and he claimed that Cena and Mickie had an affair.

Kenny also accused Cena of sleeping with another married diva in the business but just like most of the other shoots in the list, it was not proven. Got one diva who is married to a guy outside of the business but she sleeps with Cena, then we got Cena who sleeps with rats and this married diva, and now my girlfriend, he said. Doane was released by WWE and the chances of him getting back after such claims are pretty low.

#3 Randy Orton\'s poop story

Randy Orton

Anyone remember Rochelle Loewen? Yeah, me neither. She had a brief stint in SmackDown some time back but what is more remembered than her wrestling career is the accusation that she kicked off at Randy Orton. After failing to make an impact in the business, Rochelle decided to quit. However, she had a surprising farewell present from Orton.

According to Rochelle, Orton pooped in her bag and left globs of tanner and baby oil in her purse. Rochelle was not able to back up her claims and this still makes rounds in the wrestling business as a rumor. As for Orton, this has not affected his career in any way even though some people say otherwise.

#2 Hulk Hogan used to pimp his wife

Hulk Hogan

Ultimate Warrior shocked the wrestling business at one point when he came up with 52-minute shoot interview on Hulk Hogan. Warrior mouthed off a lot about the Hulkster but some of the things in particular stuck around. Warrior said about how Hogan used to sit around and snort cocaine all day and if that was not enough, Warrior also accused Hogan of offering Linda Hogan to the wrestlers in the locker room.

The shoot video managed to start off a lot of rumors about Hogan. Warrior and Hogan buried their hatchet later and were at peace at the time of Ultimate Warrior’s death.

#1 Stephanie McMahon and Randy Savage Affair

Stephanie McMahon

Randy Savage was recently inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame but WWE didn’t always have such a positive stance towards the Macho Man. He was blackballed from WWE during the mid-90s and many believe that Vince McMahon did it due to an affair between Stephanie and Savage.

Numerous superstars had their say on the same but the rumor’s credibility went to a different level when respected Wrestling journalist David Meltzer said that it might’ve been the reason. Savage was 40 back then and Stephanie was 17, it would have rocked the wrestling business if it came out true during that period but fortunately for WWE, the truth is still unknown.
