A list of potential opponents for AJ Styles at WWE WrestleMania 32

The Lunatic Fringe

AJ Styles has arrived Till now it was only a speculation but last night all rumours of AJ Styles appearing at the Royal Rumble came to fruition. Entering at the number 3 spot, Styles was at the receiving end of one of the largest crowd reactions in the history of WWE.Fans in attendance went crazy as Styles made his way to the ring to confront Roman Reigns. ‘The Phenomenal One’ returned to WWE after 14 years and it is now revealed that he will be working as a full time wrestler. This is surely good news for WWE going into Wrestlemania as Styles will provide for the loss of star power due to multiple top superstars being out with injuries. His first match came against Chris Jericho on RAW, which he won. If reports are to be believed, AJ Style’s merchandise sold out in less than a day. With a plethora of talent available, we list out the possible opponents for AJ Styles at Wrestlemania.

#4 Dean Ambrose

The Lunatic Fringe

Dean Ambrose had a very successful night at Royal Rumble. Not only did he defeat Kevin Owens in a gruelling last man standing match, he also managed to be one of the last 2 people standing in the rumble.

Even though Ambrose is announced for the triple threat match at FastLane to determine the number one contender for WWE World Heavweight championship, nobody believes him to walk out as the winner.

After FastLane, AJ Styles can very well challenge for the Intercontinental Championship at Wrestlemania. The feud will provide both men a lot of momentum and a place at the grandest stage of them all.

The quality of the match will undeniably be excellent given the talents involved. Styles may very well win his first championship and that too at Wrestlemania, which would make it surreal.

#3 Kevin Owens

Fight Owens Fight!

As good as AJ Styles return was, he just lasted under 28 minutes in the match. The man responsible for his elimination was none other than Kevin Owens.

After losing the last man standing match against Dean Ambrose last night at Royal Rumble, Kevin Owens needs a legitimate challenger to make up for the loss to Ambrose.

Both men are highly talented between the ropes and a match between the two at Wrestlemania is something to look forward too.

#2 Sheamus

The Celtic Warrior

Sheamus has lost a ton of steam ever since he dropped the WWE World Heavweight championship to Roman Reigns at the end of 2015. Even his Royal Rumble appearance is something that will not be talked about much and now that Triple H is back, Sheamus may very well become lost in the shuffle.

A feud with AJ Styles can give a new direction to the otherwise stagnant career of Sheamus. His brawling style will perfectly complement Styles’ high energy moves.

A win over the former WWE champion at Wrestlemania can legitimise Styles’ move to WWE and provide Sheamus a something meaningful to work with. The only thing required is a storyline good enough to truly unlock the real potential of this feud.

#1 Dolph Ziggler

The Showoff

Dolph Zigger is one of the best in-ring workers in WWE right now. He has proved his resilience time and time again and works very well with just about anybody.

Ziggler has been lost in the midcard thanks in part to the consistent losses and horrible bookings that he has been subjected to. It has been a long time since he was involved in a legitimate feud.

A singles match with a huge name like AJ Styles can once again shine some light on Ziggler’s career. He can turn heel and attack Styles for allegedly taking the entire spotlight away from him.

This rivalry has the potential to become one of the best going into WrestleMania, all it takes is some thoughtful booking on WWE’s behalf.
