Bray Wyatt vs John Cena match at Extreme Rules 2014 - 3 possible endings

When John Cena defeated Bray Wyatt at WrestleMania, the WWE left the door wide open for a rematch down the lane. And the WWE fans didnt have to wait much for the same as WWE decided to make it happen at Extreme Rules. To live up to the name of the pay-per-view WWE also added the Steel Cage stipulation into the match which is going to take the level of anticipation to the stratosphere. With the interference of Luke Harper and Erick Rowan taken out of the situation, the match promises to be more exciting. And like any match, WWE will have to end the thing with a bang so here is a look at the possible climaxes to the battle between the eater of the worlds and the Cenation leader.

#3 Cena winning and burying Bray Wyatt

Let’s start off with the worst case scenario here. Like we mentioned in many other occasions, Bray is the best character that WWE produced in recent years.

And he was destined for greatness until WWE decided to let him fall against John Cena. when WWE could’ve made a main event star at WrestleMania by giving Bray the win, they took the other part which affected the run of Bray.

He however rallied up well saying that he was happy that he lost, but Cena coming out and rubbing in the face that Bray is nothing without his family made things worse.

Since Bray is at such a precarious situation now, another loss to John Cena at Extreme Rules is just going to bury him just like Nexus and Alex Riley ended up.

It’s not certainly what the fans or the company wants but in case they pull it off like they did with Nexus, they Bray is going to look like a bearded guy who wears Hawaiian shirt and nothing more than that.

#2 Bray settling the scores and popping the crowd

The only way that WWE could make up for the mess they did in WrestleMania will be to give Bray Wyatt a dominating win over Cena inside the steel cage.

Last time Bray did the same was at Royal Rumble against Daniel Bryan and it ended up being a match of the year contender. Now, Cena is nowhere near Bryan when it comes to carrying his opponents but with the experience he has under his belt he could play the role of a struggling hero.

The win would breathe back some credibility into Bray Wyatt as the fans would know that he also knows how to do things which he says.

Since Rowan and Harper might not interfere in the ring, the straight win will make Bray look like the demonic ruthless creepy guy that he really is.

Cena taking the fall at Extreme Rules will not be such a big thing, but it certainly could make Bray Wyatt.

#1 Cena unleashing the monster inside him

The entire storyline has been built around the urge of each wrestler to achieve something which they hadn’t done before. Cena wants to survive and protect his legacy while Wyatt has a much more interesting aim: Bring out the monster inside Cena.

This certainly suits his character as it is not something that a regular wrestler would try to do to Cena. What Wyatt wants is not a win, he wants to show the world that the hero they loved for years also had a monster in him thus proving that each and every one has one as well.

Poetic, isn’t it?

Well it could all go to a different level if Bray manages to do the same. He tried to do it by giving Cena a chair at WrestleMania and kneeling down reading to take a beating. Cena however rejected that and convince Bray that there is no monster inside him.

Now imagine, as the match progresses, Cena loses his hold and starts beating Bray with a steel chair while Bray keeps on laughing louder with each shot.

A dark side of Cena is something that the fans would love to see and a grinning Bray is something which they’ll die to see.

It would certainly be a big deal as Cena will be exploring new grounds in his career if it happens, he will be breaking out of his regular good guy persona and unleash the monster inside him, which is what everyone wants to see even if the match ends in a no contest.
