12 Teams you must play with in Football Manager 2015

Football Manager 2015 is out now and gamers all over the world are wondering which team should they pick in the game. Well, we might have the answer for some. Here are the 12 best teams to play with in the game.

#1 Borussia Dortmund

Dortmund have had the worst imaginable start to their season. They lie right at the bottom of the Bundesliga table and look far from what they were two seasons ago. Surely, the loss of Lewandowski has hurt them. Although Shinji Kagawa has returned, other new signings Ciro Immobile and Adrian Ramos do not seem to have gelled well in the game.

In FM 2015, you will start the game hampered by injuries to star men Marco Reus, Ilkay Gündoan, Jakub Blaszczykowski and Nuri ahin, but don’t expect any more big signings with only £4.2m in the transfer kitty. However, the quality of the squad is undeniable and it will be really interesting for gamers to start with Borussia Dortmund.

#2 Arsenal

Arsenal have always been contenders for big things but haven’t been able to click at the right time. This time around, with £47 million in the transfer kitty and a squad brimming with world-class talent, if you can shore up the defence, a title push isn’t out of question.

With Welbeck leading the line and a young English core, this could be the year. Hey, you could even make Mesut Özil your Raumdeuter - a new position on Football Manager 2015 which allows a player to take on a role similar to that of Thomas Müller at Bayern Munich. Arsenal seems to be an interesting challenge in FM 2015. How far can you go with them?

#3 Manchester United

United might just be the most desirable team in FM 2015 to start your career. A transfer budget of £60m and a raft of attacking talent will be at your disposal if you choose to do so. How well can you cover up the loopholes in the current squad is something only you know.

Do you experiment with a 3-5-2 to fit in your No.10s or do you drop star names in favour of a solid system? Also, with some of your stars likely to be tempted by the prospect of Champions League football elsewhere, your man management skills will need to be at their best. The team has had a decent start given the defensive crysis and injury problems. But you can change all that.

#4 Burnley

The Clarets are widely expected to go down at the end of the season. Can you guide them to safety? They’ve been accused of lacking real Premier League quality, and with only £2m to spend it could be tricky to attract the right level of talent. The loan market is all yours to exploit and so is free agent Pablo Aimar, who might be ready for a career defining stint in the Premier League. Well, the odds are against the team but your managerial skills might do the trick.

#5 Southampton

Southampton have seen a number of their major players leave in their transfer window. However, they do seem to have made some season-defining captures in the form of Graziano Pellè and Ryan Bertrand. Creator-in chief Dušan Tadi and, once he’s fit, Jay Rodriguez, will also be the ones to lookout.

Money in the bank to the tune of around £14m, depending on season ambitions, could be used to further develop a talented squad. The conveyor belt of talent will keep chugging along too with the likes of Lloyd Isgrove and Harrison Reed waiting in the wings. Southampton is one of those teams that promises lots of thrills. Good or bad, is a matter of time.

#6 West Ham United

Another one of those tricky teams, West ham have some talent at their disposal. Opposition teams are sure to have their hands full with the pacey duo of Diafra Sakho and Enner Valencia leading your attack, and with the sure footed Alex Song and Mark Noble behind them you’ll have the base of a strong side.

There is £3m still left over in the transfer pot, so you’ll need to be as shrewd as Big Sam if you’re to dip your toe in the transfer market. A smart capture could prove decisive in determining the tema’s fate.

#7 AS Roma

The injury to Kevin Strootman and departure of Mehdi Benatia will be a disappointment but in no way, is enough to rule out a great experience with this team. With one of Europe’s finest scouting systems which will keep you well informed of unearthed gems, there is less to worry about. The rejuvenated Gervinho, (who starts the game with a market value of £23.5m!) will provide for the evergreen Francesco Totti up top. You won’t have a big transfer budget, but around £6m should help you rebuild Rome (just not in a day).

#8 Atletico Madrid

Holders of the league title, finalists of last season’s champions league and real show-stoppers on some occasions last season. But this time, they’ll be without but their main goalscorer, left-back and goalkeeper. Atletico had a busy summer, and have recruited some real quality to replace the departures.

Mario Mandzukic will fill your Diego Costa-shaped hole, and the likes of Antoine Griezmann, Arda Turan and Koke will chip in with goals and assists. You’ve also got wonderkid Angel Correra, who you’ll know from Football Manager 2014. The ultimate challenge is to replicate last season’s form. Beating the other team in Madrid would help too.

#9 Paris Saint-Germain

As soon as you start the season, ‘Sign high-profile players’ will be the message in the first briefing from the board. You’ll have about £38m to spend apart from the excellent squad of PSG. Any further additions are totally upto you and are very much possible.

Keep the axis of Cavani and Ibrahimovic happy and stop David Luiz going walkabout in central defence and Ligue 1 shouldn’t be too tricky, although Bielsa’s Marseille may cause some problems. Its the Champions League where you’ll be expected to deliver for the hard to please Sheikhs. You will have one of the strongest squads in the game. Make sure to get the most out of it.

#10 AS Monaco

Prefer a taste for the finer things down in the Principality? Owner Rybolovlev’s high profile divorce may mean the likes of James Rodriguez and Falcao have departed, but you have a raft of young talent coming through such as Kondogbia, Ocampos and Kurzawa with Anthony Martial knocking for a starting berth.

Midfield maestro Joao Moutinho and the slightly old but classy Dimitar Berbatov are still around too. A £42m transfer budget means you might get in one or two big signings to get things going again for the Monaco based club.

#11 Melbourne City

David Villa, Damien Duff and Robert Koren in the same team? Sounds godd. Doesn’t it? Well then good is reality if you start with Manchester City’s down-under franchise, Melbourne City. The newly captured stars are all set to light up the A-league and with a United/City war with cross-town rivals Melbourne Victory on the cards, things might get interesting. Make sure you’re clued up on rules surrounding marquee signings, though.

#12 Nottingham Forest

Fancy the biggest budget in the Championship? This is it. A £6m kitty will be at your disposal at the start but you will be totally expected to make a push for promotion straightaway. Goalscoring shouldn’t be an issue with big money signing Britt Assombalonga, and you’ll also have Michail Antonio and Andy Reid to provide. You’ll lose Karl Darlow and Jamaal Lascelles to Newcastle at the end of the first season, so make sure you’re prepared for their departures. Make needful additions where required and it should not be too difficult to make the cut.
