FIFA 15: Predicting the 10 best forwards in the game

With so much football in everyones blood with the start of yet another new season, EA Sports are coming out at the right time with their latest installment in their FIFA series: FIFA 15. The release date given by EA sports is 23rd September, 2014, so make sure you dont miss out.When you start a new career in FIFA, having a world class forward in the team becomes a must if you plan on winning the most number of trophies.Every gamer has his own mindset and strategy when it comes to buying forwards, however, in this list we focus on the ten best forwards that money could buy.Players who missed out on the list but are still going to be great buys: Robert Lewandowski, Diego Costa, Stevan Jovetic, Mario Balotelli.In this slideshow, we predict the10 best forwards in the game from FIFA 15:

#1 Gareth Bale - 89

Despite being a traditional winger, Gareth Bale is a goal machine in front of the goal, and it is perhaps fair enough to say that he is going to be one of the best forwards in the game. We can only speculate about Bale’s rating as it is highly expected that he will be rated around the 90 mark. The Welsh has started 39 matches last season, scoring 24 goals, and assisting 18, a very impressive statistic for a winger who made his La Liga debut last season.

#2 Neymar: 86

With a potential of 91 in last year’s FIFA, Neymar is going to continue to be one of the game’s best player as the career mode progresses. Appearing in a total of 57 matches, Neymar found on the net on 28 occasions, and assisted a total of 22 goals – statistics that are only going to improve his attributes in the game.

Aged only 22, his potential is likely going to increase as well, and if used properly, you could see him reach the level of Lionel Messi, and Cristiano Ronaldo in the game.

#3 Luis Suarez: 90

Barcelona had to break their bank in order to get Luis Suarez’s signature, agreeing on a five-year contract for a fee in the region of £75 million €94 million, and boy does he deserve it! Suarez was undoubtedly the Premier League’s best last season, finishing the 2013-14 season as the league’s top scorer with 31 goals.

Looking at his overall statistics, the Uruguayan striker made a total of 57 starts last season, scoring 47 goals, and assisting 15. His attributes will oversee massive upgrades in this year’s FIFA unless they tend to overlook his potential once again.

#4 Wayne Rooney: 89

The English forward was the top scorer for Manchester United in the 2013/14 season. Wayne Rooney also scored a stunning long goal against West Ham in the Premier League. The Englishman had played his best in the 2013/14 season for Manchester United and was present everywhere in the field. Wayne Rooney had an average World Cup scoring one goal and having an assist to his name.

Wayne Rooney’s rating in FIFA 14 is 87, and his impressive form for Manchester United will surely make him receive a statistical upgrade. A rating of 89 or 90 can be expected for the 28-year old in FIFA 15.

#5 Sergio Aguero: 88

Sergio Aguero was prolific in front of the net last season, bagging 32 goals from 31 appearances for Manchester City. Aguero has been one of the best strikers in the game for a while now, and since he is only 26 years old, his ratings will only up from this end.

A fast-paced strong striker, he had a potential to reach a minimum of 89 in FIFA 14, and it is likely he will progress in the equal manner in installment as well.

#6 Edinson Cavani: 88

Edinson Cavani is one of the deadliest strikers in world football now, and had a good first campaign for Paris-Saint Germain in his first season in France. He started a total of 37 matches for the Ligue 1 side, finding the net on 25 occasions. A powerful and agile player, Cavani is also a big threat aerially.

His potential in the previous game would see him reach a minimum growth of at least 1 point, and reaching over 90 within two seasons. This is likely to be the same in FIFA 15 as he moves towards the prime of his career.

#7 Robin van Persie: 89

The Dutchman was out for most of the season because of the injuries he had suffered. Robin van Persie’s hattrick against Olympiakos will surely be remembered by the Manchester United fans forever. The 31-year old striker scored 12 league goals for Manchester United in his 18 appearances despite his injuries. Persie also had a fruitful WC campaign, scoring 4 goals in 6 appearances.

Robin van Persie’s fitness has not always been a point of concern. If the Dutchman gains 100 percent fitness, Manchester United can definitely hope for a lot of goals from the forward. Van Persie’s rating in FIFA 14 is 89 and because of his impressive WC campaign and an above average season, there might not be any upgrade of his 89 rating.

#8 Radamel Falcao: 89

Radamel Falcao had a season he would want to forget, and most of it is due to a serious knee injury that he had suffered in January 2014 which forced him to stay out of action throughout the season. The injury even kept him sidelined for the 2014 FIFA World Cup. Despite that, it unlikely that he will receive a major cut in the ratings.

We predict him to be rated at 89, with a potential to reach a minimum of 92.

#9 Cristiano Ronaldo - 94

Unlike the previous years, it is expected that Cristiano Ronaldo will be sharing the same rating as Lionel Messi, if not more. Ronaldo scored a mammoth amount of goals last season, 65 in total, and was the top scorer in both La Liga and the UEFA Champions League.

#10 Lionel Messi: 95

FIFA’s poster boy, Lionel Messi has been the game’s best player for quite a while now, however, it is highly likely that he will be contested closely by Real Madrid’s Cristiano Ronaldo who had a better club campaign last season. Messi’s performance in the World Cup is what makes us think that he will be receiving an upgrade in his attributes, with the potential to reach 97 in career mode. Unlike most of the other big players in the game, Messi manages to stay injury free and loyal in the game, which makes him the player everytime would like to sign in the game.
