Top Defenders in NBA LIVE 15

As you may know, EA SPORTS NBA LIVE 15 released recently and the ratings have been revealed by the franchise. And probably to no one’s surprise, San Antonio Spurs’ Kawhi Leonard is ranked as No. 1 among the video game’s top-5 defenders with a rating of 95. Lets have a look on the other on-ball defenders on the list.

#1 Kawhi Leonard

Kawhi Anthony Leonard was always regarded as a strong defender but the past year he prooved his offensive skills as well. Synergy Sports stated that the NBA Finals MVP ranked in the 90th percentile for points per possession. He's also in the 92nd percentile against defending the Pick and Roll Ball Handler. His presence on the court definitely makes the opponents work hard for their two and three pointers.

In the 2013-14 Season he appeared in 66 games, starting in 65, averaging 12.8 points, 6.3 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.75 steals in 29.2 minutes posted career-highs in points, rebounds, assists and steals. When Spurs met Heats in the finals, in Game 3 of the series the 6 ft 7 incher scored a career-high 29 points in a 111–92 victory. Later Spurs went on to win the finals 4-1, which earned Leonard a MVP tiltle He was also named for the NBA All-Defensive Second Team (2014)

Anthony "Tony" Allen, a perimeter defender is a lock down in every sense of the word. Back from an injury, he showed his skills guarding against the MVP Kevin Durant. He ranked in the 94th percentile and is one of the best defenders in the bussiness today. He is also called as "Gucci" and "Grindfather" by his Celtics and Grizzlies teammates.

The Grizzlies player was with Celtics till 2010. He got selected for the NBA All-Defensive First Team for the second time for scoring 53 points in the 2012–13 season.

Tony is a kind of player who could provide an immediate spark off the bench with his defense.

Patrick Beverley was much talked about for his offensive side last season, but he is better known for his defense. Beverley brings lot of fiestyness to the Rockets side. Last season he was all against the league's best point guards yet he managed to get 92nd percentile for his defense.

The 26 year old Rockets’ guard was previously with Miami Heat. Due to his magic on the court, he was named in the NBA All-Defensive Second Team (2014) for the first time. He was also part of a movie called “Hoops Reality”, the sequel of “Hoops Dreams”.

#4 Andre Iguodala

Andre Tyler Iguodala is well known as a complete player and is one of the NBA's best lockdown defenders. He is a very gifted defender who has troubled a lot of world class point guards. Warriors Small forward / Shooting guard has been the heart of the team, so he is usually a part of the starting five.

Iggy was the NBA All-Star in 2012 and he was named two times in the NBA All-Defensive First Team. He was also in the American international team which won gold at the 2012 Summer Olympics and 2010 FIBA World Championship.

The 30 year old guard is a treat to watch on the court.

Is there a category in which King James does’nt check in amongst the league’s best? James has made it his goal to be named NBA Defensive Player of the Year this season. He is literally capable of guarding any part of the court. With his defense slated as 91, will he top the chart next season.

The King was a part of Miami for four years before coming to Cleveland. The Heats defense was mainly dependent on Lebron. He is a two times NBA Champion (2012–2013), four times NBA Most Valuable Player (2009–2010,2012–2013), ten times NBA All-Star (2005–2014), two times NBA All-Star Game MVP (2006, 2008), eight times All-NBA First Team (2006, 2008–2014) and the list goes on.
