FIFA 16: Top 10 5-star skill players

It is that time of the year again when football and video game lovers have one common reason to be happy. FIFA 16 is less than a month away from being released. Publisher Electronic Arts have already released information about the 50 best players in the game, and we take it upon ourselves to compile the list with the 10 best players who play for some of the top clubs in the world. Next in the series are the top 10 5-star skilled players as one of the best ways to win any matches in FIFA 16 is to use the skills that are in the game, but some skills are harder to perform than others and are more effective in going round opposition players and creating goal-scoring opportunities. This is the list of top 10 5-Star Skilled players who can perform the most difficult of tricks, so check them out below:

#10 Adel Taarabt

Adel Taarabt

Nationality: Moroccan

FIFA 16 Rating: 79

Club: Benfica

Position: Central attacking midfielder

The ex-Spurs midfielder Adel Taarabt recently joined Portuguese Champions Benfica on a 5-year deal from the recently relegated club QPR. He was rated as the ‘genius’ on a football pitch by the former QPR manager Jim Magilton for the brilliant solo goal he scored by dribbling past three players and curling a shot into top corner in a Championship game.

The 26-year old midfielder came into limelight when he joined the Championship side Queens Park Rangers in 2009. He proved to be a big bargain player for QPR as he went on to score 19 goals in 44 league appearances that season for the West London club.

With Taarabt’s unpredictable skill and reputation for never giving the opposition defence an easy 90 minutes, he went on to win the Championship Player of The Year award and gained a place in the Championship's best XI.

Position: Winger

The 24-year old winger Andre Carrillo currently plays for the Portuguese based club Sporting Clube de Portugal. Recently, he signed a new contract with the club as it was rumoured that Mark Hughes was trying to bring in the winger to his led Premier League side Stoke City.

Andre is known for his ability to not to go to ground easily as he is quite physically strong on a football pitch. He can turn, twist and can deliver great balls inside the area for the forwards to score a goal.

Position: Attacking Midfielder

The ex-Chelsea trainee Moubarak Boussoufa currently plays for the Russia-based club Lokomotiv Moskva in the Russian League though he got into limelight when he used to play in the Belgian League.

The 31-year old midfielder joined the Belgian Champions Anderlacht in 2006 from another Belgian-based club K.A.A Gentt for a fee reported to be around €3.5 million. He was awarded with the title of ‘Belgian Footballer of the year’ for the 2005-06, 2008-09 and 2009-10 season. He was also the leader in assists made during the 2009-10 season with 24 assists to his name.

The Brazilian international Douglas Costa recently joined German Champions Bayern Munich on a 5-year deal for a fee reported to be around €30 million from the Ukranian Champions FC Shakhtar Donetsk. He made 191 appearances for the Ukranian side with finding the back of the net on 37 occasions.

The 24-year old winger is known for speed, dribbling skills and the ability to cross the ball into the dangerous area in the final third of the pitch. The former Gremio attacker has fit into Guardiola’s set-up at Bayern almost seamlessly after netting his first goal for the German Champions in their first league of the 2015-16 season.

The ex-Barcelona and Porto winger Ricardo Quaresma has recently joined Turkish Champions Besiktas for a fee reported to be around €1.2 million from the Portugal-based club FC Porto. This was his second spell with the Turkish champions as he had played for them in 2010-11 and 2011-12 seasons.

The 31-year old winger is popular for his wide range of tricks into his style of play including the Rabona and his ability to play on both the flanks with great speed creates a lot of problem for opposition defenders.

He was also the part of Champions League winning Internazionale team in 2009-10 season.

Club: Juventus (Loaned from Chelsea)

Position: Winger

The ex-Florentina and current Chelsea winger Juan Cuadrado recently joined the Italian Champions Juventus on a season long loan until the end of 2015-16 season. He joined the English champions Chelsea in the January transfer window of the 2014-15 season on a four-and-a-half-year deal for a fee to be reported around £23.3 million and went on to win the Premier League.

The 27-year old winger made his Columbian debut against Venezuela scoring the opening goal in a 2-0 victory. He was also the leader in the highest number of assists made during the 2014 FIFA World Cup and his pace with his dribbling ability moved the team forward at the 2014 World Cup.

Club: Fenerbahce

Position: Winger

The ex-Manchester United winger Nani recently joined the Turkish club Fenerbahce on a 3-year deal with a fee reported around £4.25 million. The Portuguese international spent the last season loaned out to his first senior club Sporting Clube de Portugal where he scored 7 goals in 27 appearances for the Portuguese club.

Since the time he joined Manchester united back in 2007, the 28-year old winger has developed into more of a classical winger, with the ability to play on both the flanks and uses his tricks, crossovers and fast dribbling to create space in the final third of the pitch. He also has the ability to cut back inside from both of the flanks and shoot on target from distance.

He has won numerous trophies in his time at Old Trafford which includes 4 Premier League titles, 1 Champions League and 1 FIFA Club World Cup.

The French international Frank Ribery has been a regular starter for the German Champions Bayern Munich since his arrival at the club in 2007. He has established himself as a left winger in the team for whom he has scored 104 goals in 299 appearances in all competitions.

Despite predominantly playing on the wing, the 32-year old has averaged double-digits in assists every year beginning with his final season at Marseille. When playing on the left flank, Ribery uses his ‘burst of acceleration’ in order to cut back inside to take a shot at goal or can also deliver a decisive pass for other players to score.

He has 80 appearances for the French national team in which he has 16 goals and 20 assists to his name.

The Brazilian international Neymar Jr currently plays for the Spanish champions Barcelona after arriving at the club in 2013 for a fee reported to be around €57.1 million. He became the 8th player in football history to win the Champions League and the Copa Libertadores, as well as the first player to score in both the finals.

His energetic pace combined with his amazing dribbling skills is always a worry for the opposition defence line as he can drift inside and create the space needed to shoot from distance or can play a decisive pass for other players to score. Although naturally right-footed, he is capable of scoring with both feet, as well as sometimes with his head, and is a decently accurate free-kick taker.

The ex-Manchester United winger Cristiano Ronaldo joined the Spanish giants Real Madrid for a record fee reported around £80 million. The 3-time Ballon d’Or winner is widely regarded as one of the two best players in the world within his generation to have played the game.

The 30-year old forward is known in particular for his finishing, pace, dribbling, crossing and ability on free kicks as well as known to be mentally sharp, with good vision and positioning, often predicting certain plays and has lethal finishing. Although right footed, he is also able to control the ball, cross, and finish well with his left foot.
