5 reasons why FIFA 14 is better than PES 14

It has always been a fight between Konami and EA Sports on which of their games is better. Fans always feel that FIFA outruns PES in every aspect. Even though PES has improved it's graphics and gameplay over the years, here are 5 reasons why FIFA still wins the war over PES!

#5 Legends mode

The recently introduced game mode in the FIFA 14 includes the addition of legends to already existing Ultimate Team mode. The mode enables gamers to add the likes of legendary footballers such as Pele, Patrick Viera, Freddie Ljungberg, Ruud Gullit, Gary Lineker to their Ultimate team and take on an opponent's squad with a squad filled with legends.

This ability beats PES's feature of 'Be a Legend' by adding a few more players than in PES 14.

Imagine a forward line of Pele and Lionel Messi in your Ultimate Team. Wouldn't they be every opponent's nightmare?

#4 Better Visuals in FIFA

FIFA has always surpassed over PES when it comes to player likenesses by offering gamers motion-capped technology that captures the player's true movements and appearance.

FIFA is also much sharper than PES in the graphics department.

The audience in the stadium also looks like a real audience and what makes it more realistic is the audience's reaction when a player scores a goal. Some people stand on their feet, cheering while others would be leaning forward, anticipating the goal.

#3 FIFA has a better career mode

Career Mode of FIFA 14 always has an upper edge over PES 14. Thought PES 14 has the UEFA Champions and Europa League game modes, FIFA still features an ill-parody ofthe Champions League, the Champions Cup.

FIFA's career mode is much more three-dimensional and has so much more depth to it, with a multitude of capabilities. A gamer can play in the Championship with officially licensed teams as well as the League One and League Two which again has a more realistic feel.

FIFA also enables the player to play the "Be a Pro mode" which is similar to PES's " Be a Legend" mode.

Career Mode in FIFA is also preferred because it involves settling a player dispute, wrangling over contracts, agitating a rival manager ahead of kick-off which makes the game feel much more authentic

#2 World Cup in FIFA 14

Along with career mode, FIFA also enables the feature to yake part in the World Cup and European Championships. PES on the other hand also does not include the Confederations Cup.

FIFA have also released official versions of FIFA World Cup 2010: South Africa and also UEFA Euro 2012 when the tournaments were taking place.

PES still do not have this feature and EA surpasses them again by enabling the World Cup in the Career Mode of the game.

#1 FIFA has more leagues, players and clubs

The place where PES falls back is licensing. FIFA always wins over PES because of the license issues Konami faces. EA has experienced continual success in signing deals with clubs and leagues to secure the rights to officially feature them in their games.

Liverpool became the recent club to sign an agreement with EA to become their official video game partner. EA has also had a number of other partner clubs signed up from previous deals including clubs such as Manchester City, Tottenham Hotspur, Valencia, Borussia Dortmund, AC Milan, Olympique Lyonnais and Paris Saint-Germain, all of whose official likenesses and stadium are represented in FIFA 14.

PES in the meantime have the UEFA Champions and Europa League and also include clubs in the Primera Division of the Argentinean League. Manchester United remain the only officially licensed English club in the game.

FIFA has over 600 clubs, 30 leagues and 16,000 players while PES boasts of teams such as 'North London', 'West Midlands Village', 'London FC', 'Merseyside Blue' etc.
