Atletico Madrid need only a draw to eliminate Galatasaray and finish in the top two.

Galatasaray must win to keep their hopes of finishing in the top two alive.

FC Astana must win if they want a chance to qualify for the Europa League at least.

2AS Roma4121101005
3Bayer Leverkusen4112111014
4BATE Borisov4103411-73

  • Matchday 5: Barcelona vs AS Roma; BATE Borisov vs Bayer Leverkusen
  • Matchday 6: Bayer Leverkusen vs Barcelona; AS Roma vs BATE Borisov

Barcelona need only a draw to finish in the top two and qualify for the Round of 16. A win would confirm the Catalan club as group winners. They can still qualify if they lose, provided Bayer Leverkusen do not get all three points.

AS Roma can qualify if they win and both Leverkusen and BATE draw.

Bayer Leverkusen need only a draw to ensure they still have a chance of qualifying, provided Roma lose. But they play Barcelona on the final matchday. So a win is a must.

BATE Borisov also need a win to stay in the hunt. If they draw with Leverkusen and Roma win, the top two is out of reach for both BATE and Leverkusen. If BATE lose and Roma win, BATE will finish dead last.

#6 Group F

Arsenal Champions League

  • Matchday 6: Olympiacos vs Arsenal; Dinamo Zagreb vs Bayern Munich

Bayern Munich need only a point to qualify for the Round of 16. If they win, they will be assured of top spot in the group.

Olympiacos also need only a point to qualify. If they beat Bayern Munich by a margin of more than 3 goals, they will top the group for good.

Arsenal must win on Matchday 5 and Olympiacos must lose if the Gunners stand a chance of qualifying on Matchday 6 when they face the Greek side. They are already behind Bayern Munich in the head-to-head and hence cannot top the group. If Arsenal win and Olympiacos lose, the north London side must beat Olympiacos by 2 goals on the final matchday to qualify.

Dinamo Zagreb must also win their game and can still mathematically leapfrog Bayern Munich on the final matchday if Bayern lose on Matchday 5. But the Croatian side have no chance of reeling in Olympiacos having lost both fixtures.

If either of Arsenal or Dinamo Zagreb win on Matchday 5, they will at least be assured of Europa League qualification. But Arsenal need to win and improve on the 2-1 reverse on Matchday 1.

Chelsea need a win to qualify on Matchday 5, provided Dynamo Kyiv lose.

Dynamo Kyiv can still qualify for the top two if Chelsea draw or lose.

Maccabi Tel-Aviv are already out of the Champions League but must win their next two games if they want to qualify for the Europa League, provided Dynamo Kyiv lose the next two games.

Remaining Fixtures

  • Matchday 5: Zenit vs Valencia; Lyon vs Gent
  • Matchday 6: Gent vs Zenit; Valencia vs Lyon

Zenit Saint Petersburg are already through to the Round of 16 courtesy of their perfect 100% record. Only a draw is enough to top the group. If they lose, the head-to-head record will come into the picture if Valencia win both games and Zenit lose on Matchday 6 as well.

Valencia will be assured of a top two finish if they win. If the Spanish sid win and Gent fail to get all three points, Valencia are through.

Gent need to win to stay in the hunt for a top two spot. A win or even a draw will see Lyon finish last no matter what the results are on the final matchday (in case of a draw, head-to-head will decide the outcome).

Lyon must win both games if they stand a chance to finish in the top two. A draw will see them out of contention for the Round of 16 but still have a chance of qualifying for the Europa League
