El Shaarawy is now a Roma player

Dybala is one of the most sought after players in EuropeThe January transfer window is in its final week and a number of players are linked with clubs across Europe. Although, the mid-season transfer window may not be the best time to buy players due to the inflated prices, it can also work if a club manages to sign a player that can propel the team to the top of the table.Most deals usually take palce on deadline day but the foundation for these deals are usually laid in the days prior. Plenty of rumours across the European league were floating about today. Let’s take a look at all the major ones:

#1 Serie A

El Shaarawy is now a Roma player

-Roma officially completed their transfer of Stephan El Shaarawy, taking the Milan forward on a season long loan with an option to buy. The talented youngster was happy at his move and was looking forward to a fresh start at the club.

-Torino are keen to step up their interest in out-of-favour Paris Saint Germain goal keeper Salvatore Sirigu ahead of the closure of the January Transfer window. The Italian shot stopper will inject some much needed quality in the Turin side.

-Napoli have rejected a €22m bid from Swansea City for Manolo Gabbiadini. The 24-year-old forward has struggled for game time with Gonzalo Higuain in fine form. Gabbiadini has mainly made substitute appearances in the league this season while scoring regularly in the Europa League.

-Another day and another Paulo Dybala rumour. Latest reports according to ManagingMadrid claim that Dybala may well be on his way to Real Madrid from Juventus. The 22 year old has been in amazing form this season with Barcelona also being linked with the Argentine forward.

#2 La Liga

Not wanted at Atletico anymore?

-Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone has apparently told Fernando Torres that he has no plans to turn the striker's loan stay into a permanent one according to sportsmole. Torres who has been on loan from AC Milan is struggling this season having scored only 2 goals in 16 appearances for his boyhood club.

-Atletico Madrid forward Antoine Griezmann has announced that he would like to stay with the La Liga side. This comes as a blow to Chelsea, who have been linked with the 24-year-old for the past 2 seasons. “I am feeling very well at Atletico” clarified the Frenchman who has been in stunning form this season.

-Another rumour involving a Real Madrid player is Nacho’s move to Napoli which might yet go through this season with the defender struggling for regular playtime at the Bernabeu. Napoli are looking for some extra defensive options as they seek to win the Scudetto this season.

#3 Premier League

Will Van Persie make a shock return to the Premier League ?

-Chelsea are preparing to swoop in for Van Persie as they look to bolster their attacking options. Chelsea are also on the verge of completing the signing of former AC Milan striker Alexandre Pato from Corinthians. The Daily Mail reported that the Premier League champions will sign the 26-year-old on loan initially, with a view to a permanent move in the summer.

-According to latest reports from Sky Sports, Liverpool have failed to agree a fee with Shakthar for Alex Texiera. The Brazilian who has been in sensational form this season has also interested Chelsea and Liverpool will have to move quickly and up their bid if they want to secure the services of the talented forward.

-Also, Arsene Wenger has reportedly been hand over 70 million euros to make one marquee signing which will guide the Gunners to the title this season according to the Metro. Arsenal have been linked with plenty of players this season with Wenger supposedly interested in the trio of Rabiot, Higuain and Inaki Williams.

-According to Daily Star, Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal is set for showdown talks with the club’s heirarchy where the Dutchman’s future will be the matter of discussion. The 64-year-old admitted that he can not fulfill the expectations of the fans and after the loss to Southampton, it seems like both the parties would like to part ways.

#4 Rest of Europe

Robert Lewandowski to make a move in the future?

-The agent of Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski has suggested that the polish forward might move clubs in the fututre. The Polish international has been linked with a host of big clubs this transfer window with Manchester United, Real Madrid and Arsenal all seemingly interested.

-Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s future is no where close to being resolved with the striker still looking at all possible options including the Premier League. However, he has ruled out a move in this window wanting to stay at PSG till the end of the season.

-Borussia Monchengladbach’s defensive midfielder Granit Xhaka is on the lookout for a club with Liverpool being the front runners to sign the Swiss midfielder.

-PSG right-back Gregory van der Wiel is out of contract this summer and could leave the Ligue 1 club. Reports linked him to Chelsea last summer and he could be a replacement for Ivanovic if the club decide to move the Serbian to centre-back.

-Former Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers may make a comeback to management with a shock move to the middle east.
