Barcelona and Real Madrid can go head-to-head for Miralem Pjanic

- According to reports in Spanish newspaper Marca, Real Madrid are interested in Roma midfielder Miralem Pjanic. Los Blancos have not had a good start to life under Benitez and quite visibly need some reinforcements in some areas. The Bosnian has been in scintillating form this season and has already scored 8 goals in 15 appearances for the Giallorossi this term.

Barcelona were also linked with the 25-year-old a few days back and, if both the rivals decide in favor of pursuing the midfielder, the transfer battle can get pretty interesting.

- Denis Cheryshev, the outcast Real Madrid winger, wants a loan move away from the Santiago Bernabeu in search of some playing time, Marca reports. It is believed that various clubs like Liverpool, Everton, Villareal and Valencia might make a move for the winger come January.

- Catalan newspaper Mundo Deportivo has urged FIFA to hand both the Madrid clubs, Real and Atletico a transfer ban of two windows after suggestions that both the clubs have broken the same rules which Barcelona were accused of. The newspaper also accused FIFA of not being transparent on the matter.

Is Gianluigi Donnarumma worth 170 million?

- Paul Pogba’s agent Mino Raiola has said that the French midfielder will not leave Juventus in the January transfer window, Mirror reports. Manchester United, Chelsea and Barcelona are reportedly interested in the 22-year-old. However, Riola ruled out a January move for Pogba.

“Pogba is no longer a surprise,” said Raiola. “He’s not a youngster just being discovered. A player with his talent is known to everybody. There have been offers for him, and they’re still there. Last summer he decided to stay another year at Juve, and he kept his word. We’re not preoccupied with thoughts of his future, we’re thinking about that.

“Paul is a lad who decides with his heart, and at the moment he’s focused on Juventus. I can categorically rule out a move in January. In the future we’ll see, we’ll talk at the end of July,” Riola said.

- According to reports, Arsenal was interested in luring Mauro Icardi from Inter Milan with a £32million bid. However, Daily Express reports that the Argentine has rejected a possible move to the Emirates saying that being the captain of the team he can not leave them when they are playing so well.

“I stay here this season as I did the last one. I'm also the captain and I can't leave a team which is doing good things,” he was reported saying.

- In a rather over-the-top comment, super agent Mino Raiola has said that AC Milan’s young goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma is “worth 170 million”, Sky Sports reports. The 16-year-old Italian is tipped to become the next Gianluigi Buffon and has kept ex-Real Madrid goalkeeper Diego Lopez out of the starting XI.

I'd compare him to a Modigliani [piece by Italian artist Amadeo]. He's worth 170 million. He has a great future. He's an extraordinary kid and everyone loves him,” Riola said.

Martin Demichelis reportedly wants to relocate to his home country

- According to London Evening Standard, Arsenal lead the race for the signing of Lars Bender from Bayer Leverkusen in the January transfer window. After losing Francis Coquelin and Mikel Arteta through injuries in the same match, Arsene Wenger is short on options in midfield and, as the manager earlier admitted, the Gunners might want to move for a midfielder in the January transfer window.

- French daily L'Equipe reports that Manchester United might consider rekindling their interest in PSG winger Lucas Moura. The Red Devils were reportedly close to signing the Brazilian international in 2012, but PSG came in with a heavy offer to lure the winger away from Old Trafford.

- Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is reportedly interested in bringing Shakhtar Donetsk’s attacking midfielder Alex Teixeira to Stamford Bridge, The Express reports. The Blues are believed to be ready to lodge a £30million bid in the January transfer window for the 25-year-old who has scored 23 goals in 23 games so far. The Brazilian was visibly pleased with the rumours and went on to say that he wants to play under Jose Mourinho.

He said: “I’m glad to have received the proposal of Chelsea, a big club in Europe. It’s my dream, I have spoken to many people who have the desire to play in the Premier League because I think it’s the best world championship. I hope he does not leave Chelsea now. I want to work with him and have great success at his side.”

- Mirror reports that Manchester City’s Argentine defender Martin Demichelis wants to move back to his home country in the January transfer window. Rosario Central is the club believed to be interested in the 34-year-old defender’s signing. However, Manchester City’s sister club New York City FC may also sign the defender on loan.

- Dutch legend Clarence Seedorf has said that he wants to manage an English Premier club sometime in the future, Sky Sports reports. He has been linked with managerial jobs at Newcastle and QPR.

The ex-Milan player and manager said: “The Premier League is a great competition. I would definitely explore this opportunity. If there is a good project I would be happy to consider it.

“There are a lot of rumours but to be linked with important clubs is a nice feeling and it is always better to have options than to not have options at all.”

Will Zlatan Ibrahimovic move back to San Siro?

- Paris Saint-Germain winger Ezequiel Lavezzi wants a move back to Serie A, according to reports in ESPNFC. The Argentine spoke to La Gazzetta Dello Sport about a possible move back to the Italian top league and said that he really misses the country.

“I especially miss the football. Football is really intense throughout all of Italy. Life is different in France. It isn't better or worse, but it is different. There are several options, and I still have several months to decide what is best for me.

“This will be my last contract, and I want to play for a club that will motivate me. My focus will also be on the city and the quality of life there,” the 30-year-old said.

- After reports from German daily Bild that Mats Hummels did not have a healthy relationship with manager Thomas Tuchel, speculation of him leaving Borussia Dortmund for Manchester United gained a lot of pace. But, as reported by ESPNFC, club’s CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke has rejected the rumours saying that Hummels has a good relationship with the manager and “Hummels has all our support".

- Sportsmole reports that Zlatan Ibrahimovic could return to AC Milan after his contract with the French champions Paris Saint-Germain expires in the summer. The Swede’s agent Mino Raiola shed some light on his possible move to the San Siro in 2016.

“In the summer it was very complicated [a move to Milan] because Ibrahimovic was still under contract with PSG,” Raiola told Premium Sport. “A return to Italy at this point is difficult, but in the end it will be a decision he will take.

“After all, if he is willing to play for free then it's up to him. America isn't the only option, but it's obvious that a player of his ability is the master of his own destiny. As far as going back to Milan is concerned, there is always hope.”
