With the transfer window closing towards the deadline day, the transfer rumour mill is working overtime. As another day in the European transfer window passed, a host of big clubs all over Europe were linked with some familiar as well as some new names.Some high profile transfers such as David De Gea’s move to Real Madrid are still ongoing whereas some other high profile transfers such as Nicolas Otamendi’s move to Manchester City have been completed this week.New transfers that took place today include the sale of Real Madrid midfielder Asier Illaramendi to his hometown club Real Sociedad. Some surprise transfer rumours that have come up this week are the potential sale of Brazilian superstar Neymar to Manchester United, Hueng Son Ming to Tottenham Hotspurs and Cuadrado’s sale to Juventus .Also there are the usual transfer rumours that never die like Manchester United’s continuous pursuit of Gareth Bale. So here are the top transfer rumours of the day from of all of the top European leagues.

#1 Premier League

Stones has handed in a transfer request to Everton

Tottenham Hotspurs are set to sign Bayer Leverkusen winger Heung Min Son for a transfer fee of £22m according to ESPN after the two clubs involved reached an agreement over the transfer of the South Korean. The 23-year-old will reportedly undergo a medical at White Hart Lane in the coming days. Fondly known as “Sonaldo“ in Germany, the winger would be an excellent addition to the Spurs attack.

Everton center back John Stones has put in a transfer request after his move to Chelsea was stopped by the board. The 21-year-old wants to complete his dream move to Chelsea and has thus decided to take the matter into his own hands by submitting a transfer request according to The Daily Mail. The former Barnsley player reportedly does not want to play for the Toffees anymore.

Leicester City winger and Premier League top scorer Riyad Mahrez is not going anywhere after he signed a new four-year contract with the club as per Sky Sports. In an interview, the foxes’ manager Ranieri said, "We don't sell him so there is no price, we won't sell him so it's much better if they (other clubs) don't ask.”

Manchester United have agreed a deal with Turkish club Besiktas for the sale of Spanish goalkeeper Victor Valdes according to Sky Sports.The Super Lig club's manager Senol Gunes, a former goalkeeper himself, will make the final decision on whether he wants the Spaniard and discussions over personal terms will take place if he does.

Besiktas sold their reserve goalkeeper Cenk Gonen to fierce rivals Galatasaray on Tuesday which would indicate that a move for the former Barcelona keeper could be imminent.

#2 La Liga

Blaszczykowski to the La Liga?

Newly promoted La Liga side Real Betis are set to place a shock bid for Polish international and current Dortmund player Jakub Blaszczykowski according to Spanish daily AS.

The 30-year-old winger has struggled to cement his place in the Dortmund side due to numerous injuries for the past couple of years, and has an eye on the European Championship in France next summer and wants more playing time after finding his opportunities limited at the Westfalenstadion last season. Negotiations between the clubs are reportedly at an advanced stage.

Barcelona are reportedly interested in AS Monaco striker Anthony Martial who was also interesting Premier League teams like Tottenham according to Cadena Ser. With Monaco out of the Champions League after losing to Valencia 4-3 on aggregate a mass exodus of quality players is expected out of the principality club.

Juventus striker Fernando Llorente has sealed a switch back to La Liga by signing for Europa League holders Sevilla according to Cadena Ser. According to the same report, Sevilla will pay the Italian champions Juventus €10m as transfer fee for the Basque forward.

With the South American quota at the Bernabeu being exceeded, Lucas Silva, the Brazilian who was bought at the end of last summer is the player that will be on the move according to AS. Olympique Marseille seems to be the preferred option of the Brazilian but four other English clubs are also interested in the Midfielder according to the same report.

#3 Bundesliga

De Bruyne is reportedly growing restless as he wants to join City as soon as possible

Bayern Munich have denied any interest in Belgian playmaker Kevin De Bruyne after reports emerged yesterday of a potential move to the Allianz arena at the end of the season according to Sky Sports. Manchester City already have seen a bid rejected last week for the 24-year-old and according to Bild, have tabled a €74 million bid for the attacking midfielder.

Schalke’s Julian Draxler is set to stay at Veltin’s Arena this season after a bid from Juventus for Draxler was rejected earlier in the transfer window according to ESPN. Draxler had a release clause in his contract valued at a reported €45 million, though that expired at the end of June.

Bayern Munich’s Thomas Muller and Mario Gotze are set to snub Manchester United and Juventus respectively in favour of staying put at the Allianz Arena according to ESPN.

#4 Rest Of Europe

The Roma man has been linked with a move to the Premier League

Former Liverpool defender Gabriel Paletta is set to move to Atalanta after spending one season at the San Siro according to Sky. According to Sky, Paletta has left training at Milanello, and is now travelling to Casa Milan to officially sign the loan agreement, before joining up with his new teammates in Bergamo.

Aston Villa are set to raid AS Roma by signing two of their attacking players Adam Ljajic and Gervinho according to various reports. Roma winger Gervinho was earlier set for a switch to Al-Jazeera before the move collapsed.

Schalke have rejected AS Roma’s bid for left-back Sead Kolasinac according to ESPN. Schalke sporting director Horst Heldt said the Serie A side's offer had been dismissed and that the Bosnia and Herzegovina international will remain in Gelsenkirchen.
