8 Teams that should have been included in FIFA 15

FIFA 15 has seen some brilliant new features added to the game making it more exciting, more fun and more real than ever before. The game has most of the top National sides in its ranks for players to choose and play with. However, there are some teams which for some reason haven’t been included but surely deserve a place in FIFA 15, specially after they featured in this year’s World Cup. Not all of them tasted equal bits of glory but having made a mark by qualifying for the World Cup Finals, it’s more or less unfair to deny them a place in the game. Here are the 8 teams which should have been included in FIFA 15, but were not.

#8 Nigeria

To be honest, Nigeria deserve to be in FIFA 15 for reasons more than one. They are the reigning African champions and did feature in the World Cup in June.

Moreover, they have recognised players who have made their mark in various football leagues around the world such as Victor Moses and John Obi Mikel. The Super Eagles are a team of spirit and it would be great to have them in FIFA.

#7 Algeria

Algeria were a surprise package in the World Cup. They ousted the likes of Japan and Korea to finish second in their group. They also managed to give eventual champions Germany a run for their money in the last-16 stage.

The team showed great fighting spirit throughout the tournament and surely deserved a reward. An inclusion in FIFA 15 might have been pretty good for that matter.

#6 Iran

Iran were a team which came into the world cup with little hopes of advancement from the group stages. They finished last but displayed some fine football before their early exit, which was more or less expected.

The team showed some great bit of tenacity in their qualifying campaign and although they did not manage to do much, they did infact do enough to deserve a FIFA 15 mention.

#5 Honduras

Honduras is a team full of spirit... Raw, unparalleled spirit which has been driving them through to the past two World Cup finals. Los Catrachos finished last in their group after they were defeated in all three of their group games.

However, that does not take anything away from them and they should have made it among the national teams in FIFA 15 since they proved themselves to be among the best 32 teams in the world to qualify for the main draw.

#4 Costa Rica

Costa Rica had a mind-blowing world-cup. They finished at the top of what was deemed as the group of death, ahead of the likes of Uruguay, Italy and England, defeating the first two in the process.

They reached the quarter finals where they were defeated by Netherlands in a gripping penalty shootout. The team was greatly lauded for their show and it was really surprising to witness their absence from FIFA 15. Hopefully we will see them in FIFA 16.

#3 Ghana

Ghana’s inclusion in FIFA 15 would have been doubted by very few but somehow, it is reality. The team had a great world-cup in 2010 and also reached the semis in the African Cup Of Nations 2013.

They have a really attacking gameplay which is effective as it seems apart from being pleasing to the eye. However, the team could not do well in this year’s world cup where they finished last in a group which was one of the toughest with Germany, Portugal and USA on board.

#2 Japan

Japan was another surprise exclusion from fifa 15. The Asian Champions could not do well at the world cup where they finished last in their group but have been doing well on the international stage otherwise.

With the likes of Shinji Kagawa and Keisuke Honda among their ranks, they also have a good squad which is capable of giving a good fight o any opponent. However, they are not to be seen in FIFA 15 and all we can be is sorry.

#1 Croatia

Croatia has been doing really well on the international stage and it was a huge surprise not to see them in the game. With the likes of Luka Modric, Ivan Rakitic, Dejan Lovren and Mario Mandzukic in their ranks, they are currently the 19th best side in the world accoring to the latest FIFA rankings.

They were pitted in a tough group alongside Brazil and Mexico and were eventually knocked out after a controversial opener against the hosts despite notching up a comfortable victory against Cameroon.
