Best Manchester City XI - PES 2015

PES 2015 has received a lot of praise from the gamers. Konami was not just able to compete against their rivals EA’s FIFA games in the past, but this time it is a stiff competition and its glad to see PES back to its glory age just like in the PS2 days. Major disappointment about the game is the licensing issue, only a few clubs have been given their real names. Previously we had written about the best eleven of Manchester United. Now is the time for the blue side of Manchester. So here is a list about the “Best Manchester City XI” :

#1 Joe Hart (GK)

Overall rating - 82

Joe Hart, the current England National team Goalkeeper, is the said to be one of the best in the Premier league and infact considered one of the best in the world. The 27 year old started his career at his hometown club Shrewsbury Town, then in 2006 he moved to Manchester City. He then played for Rovers, Blackpool & Birmingham City on loan and finally made a comeback to Man City.

Known for his superfast reflexes and dives, this 6 foot 3inch goalkeeper is truly an asset for Man City. In the 20 matches he played last season, he has 44 saves and 7 clean sheets. He has been given a very good PES Rating of 82.

#2 Pablo Zabaleta (RB)

Overall rating - 80

Pablo Zabaleta, the Argentine International plays in the right back position for both his Club Manchester City and his nation. He can play efficiently in both ends of the pitch. This 30 year old footballer started his footballing journey at Obras Sanitarias, and later played for clubs like San Lorenzo & Espanyol where he caught a lot of attention for his amazing performances. In the summer of 2008, Zabaleta tranferred to Manchester City.

This defender has also captained the City side many times. One of his acheivements is that he has won all three of English football's major honours: the FA Cup (2011), the Premier League (2012 and 2014), and the Football League Cup (2014). Known for his tenacious style of play, Zabaleta is rated 80.

#3 Vincent Kompany (CB)

Overall rating - 87

Vincent Kompany, is one of the best center backs in the business. Kompany plays for and captains both English club Manchester City and the Belgium national team. This defender is also capable of playing in the defensive midfield position. He started his career at Belgian club Anderlecht before moving on to the Bundesliga where he joined Hamburg FC. Then he finally moved to Manchester City in the year 2008.

With his excellent aerial ability, mobility, physical stength, as well as good technique and distribution he becomes the backbone of City’s defense. He has been given a PES Rating of 87.

#4 Eliaquim Mangala (CB)

Overall rating - 82

Eliaquim Mangala is a French footballer who has been playing as a Centre back for his national side and his club Man City. Managala is primarily a central defender, but has also been played as a full-back and a striker. His senior career began at the Belgian club Standard Liege. After playing for FC Porto for three years he moved to City in 2014.

He is player who likes to read the game and make interceptions, and possesses a good positional sense. His tackles are committed but calculated. He is also good in the air and poses a threat offensively. He is a much needed player for City and brings in so much power into the defense. His PES Rating is 82.

#5 Aleksandar Kolarov(LB)

Overall rating - 81

Aleksandar Kolarov is 29 years old and plays as a left back for both his club and country. He started his professional career at Red Star Belgrade. Before joining City in 2010, he played for three clubs ukariki, OFK Beograd & Lazio. He has won two Premier League titles, one FA Cup and League Cup.

Although he is primarily a Left back, he can also operate anywhere along the left flank and is known for his overlapping runs on the wing and his excellent ball striking ability. He fights with Gael Clichy for a first choice spot. His PES Rating is 82.

#6 Yaya Tour (CM)

Overall rating - 90

Yaya Touré is the captain of Ivory Coast and plays in midfield, and can constantly switch to defensive and attacking positions. Since he started his career at ASEC Mimosas in his youth, he has played for a lot of clubs like Beveren in Belgium, Metalurh Donetsk in Ukraine, Olympiacos in Greece, and AS Monaco in France. In 2007 he moved to the Spanish giants Barcelona, it is where he bacame a household name. Later in 2010 he moved to City.

He has been almost unstoppable when he bursts forward from midfield and he possesses an enviable combination of grace, power, speed and composure. His contribution to the side this season is his 7 goals and an assist. He is given a PES Rating of 90.

#7 Frank Lampard (CM)

Overall rating - 83

Frank Lampard is considered to be one of the all-time great English Footballing Legends. He currently plays for Manchester City after leaving Chelsea last year. He played 13 long years for Chelsea and is also their all-time leading goalscorer. He started at West Ham United before moving to Chelsea in 2001.

Lampard is one of the seven players, and the only midfielder, to have scored 150 or more goals in the Premier League. In his 11 apperances for City he has scored 5 goals. With him on the pitch, passes and assists will be flowing. His PES Rating is 83.

#8 David Silva (CAM)

Overall rating - 87

David Silva is a Spanish international who plays for Manchester City. He is basically an attacking midfielder but can also play as a winger or second striker. The 29 year old left footed footballer, started his professional career at Valencia. Then landed at Manchester City in 2010.

He has won one FA Cup, one Football League Cup and two Premier League titles for his club. In the 2014/15 season, he has 6 goals and 2 assists out of the 16 games he has played. Known for his swift flashy passes and possession-retaining qualities, he’s the playmaking machine for City. His PES Rating is 87.

#9 Samir Nasri (CAM)

Overall rating - 83

Samir Nasri is an attacking Midfielder who can play on the wings or also as a number 10. The 27 year old started his career in his hometown of Marseille, later moved on to Arsenal in 2008. Finally he made his move to Manchester City in 2011.

His technical ability, creativity, pace, skill to read the game and his playing style has been compared to legends like Zidane. He has appeared in 16 games this season and has 4 assists in his account. When he is on the attacking half of the pitch, he is every defender’s nightmare. His PES Rating is 83.

#10 Sergio Agero (ST)

Overall rating - 88

Sergio Agüero is the youngest player to debut in the Argentine Primera División at 15 years and 35 days, breaking the record previously established by Diego Maradona. He came to City in 2011 after playing five years for Atlético Madrid.

Along with his poaching ability he is also known for his passing and vision, which made him a capable assist-man. He has 14 goals and 3 assists to his name in 17 games for City this season. His agility, acceleration and strength is also commendable gaining him a PES rating of 88.

#11 Edin Deko(CF)

Overall rating - 84

Edin Deko is the All time top goal scorer for his nation. This 28 year old Forward made it to City in 2011 after playing for 111 matches for German club VfL Wolfsburg. He has been a constant part of the team’s success over the years. He has won two Premier League titles, one FA Cup and Football League Cup with Man City.

His ability to play long balls, layoffs and his counter attacking skills are an asset to City’s attack. This season he has been quiet dull with only 2 goals and 1 assist in the 13 games he has played. He is given a PES rating of 84.
