A non trivial trio - a look at how New Day became awesome in the WWE

It’s a New Day, yes it is!!This is how the New Day enters the arena and empowers everyone watching the show- both on and off the TV. This incredible trio have become so amazing that they even main event RAW these days.How is New Day so different from any other tag teams on the roster today? What makes them so special and so interesting these days? Have a look at the three guys that are a part of this faction - Big E, Kofi and Xavier.All of them are good individual performers in the ring but no one really expected that they would impress the WWE universe this way when amalgamated into a team. This team made its debut in 2014 and since then it has been continuously entertaining the fans. I would call this team the ultimate Heelatainment.They have accomplished a lot over the days and hopefully continue to achieve big gains in the coming days as well. As part of this slideshow, let us have a look at the New Day’s journey to awesomeness:

#3 Debut

The Power of Positivity unleashed

The New Day made their debut on SmackDown in 2014. There were many teasers both on RAW and SmackDown about their arrival to the company and finally it happened on SmackDown against Heath Slater, Titus ‘O’ Neil and Curtis Axel.

Let us have a look at the members of this team and their position on the roster back then. Big E: A well-known superstar, a former NXT Champion, a WWE Intercontinental Champion and one of the most powerful guys on the roster. Kofi: The highly skilled acrobatic, a former Tag team Champ, a former Intercontinental Champ and the one who does something special every year on the Royal Rumble PPV. Xavier Woods: A relatively new guy to the roster but the company believed his potential and included him as part of the trio.

In assembling future tag teams, WWE Creative should make New Day an archetype for success. Medium star power, high on balance and possibly the most engaging antics since D-X!

#2 Tag Team Championship and Heel angle

Respect the two time Champs

The most interesting thing about the New Day when it comes to the Tag team Championship reign is that they hold the titles on a Freebird basis where everyone is recognized as a Champion.

At Extreme Rules 2015, they won their first WWE Tag team Championship against Tyson Kidd and Cesaro. They won the same for the second time at Summer Slam 2015, this time by defeating the Prime Time Players, Lucha Dragons and Los Matadores in a Fatal-4-Way match.

They have been successfully defending the title on multiple occasions and their remarkable tag bouts include matches against the Usos, the Dudleys etc. These guys do a lot of comedy on and off the microphone with their unique body gestures and satirical sentences. Their heel turn is something that changed things drastically. They have been at their very best since they turned heel but the WWE fans absolutely loved it.

#1 Unicorn Horn, Trombone and signature gimmicks

What in blue hell is this? The pinnacle of craziness!

Just go back and memorize how Big E used to be during his initial days in the company. He was a fat, stiff and serious looking guy with only aim to demolish his opponents and nothing else. Have a look at Big E now. What in the world is that bum shake that he does every night on RAW and SmackDown? Pink, Red, Violet- Aw! These guys are competing with Cena in selecting the colour of their costumes, aren’t they?

Forget about all this. What is this Unicorn Horn? Things cannot be any crazier in WWE today. We absolutely love this gimmick and something that brings smile to the face of every WWE fan.

Now, let’s talk about the fourth member of New Day. It’s none other than the trombone, Francesca. A couple of weeks on RAW when Jericho broke the trombone, Xavier wept like a kid. The following week, they paid their sincere tributes to their departed kin and later continued with a new one. Talk about a tribute to a trombone!

These guys are just so amazing that they do all the weird things in the world in a funny way and entertain us every night on the show.
