Get the tables!

Look who’s back! For a show that was better than what happened 24 hours ago, we had a lot of things that worked for the company. There were a couple of returns that went very well with the hardcore Brooklyn crowd which had its third straight WWE extravaganza. Sting returned and so did the Dudleys. Vince McMahon turned 70 years old and in a kayfabe-breaking moment Triple H and Stephanie went on to sing Vince the birthday song and then laughed off how pissed he’d be backstage. Anyway, business went on as usual and the night ended on quite a high. Here are the 3 things that worked-

#1 Tag Team Scene

Get the tables!

Brooklyn became Dudleyville this night. The Dudleys returned and worked as a team after 10 years. This was beautiful. And New Day is the best team to go after since they are the champions. Also, how great are the New Day playing their roles!

There were no rumors since January- February that the Dudley Boys will return. So, their return became all the more of a blockbuster.

The New Day and PTP were doing a great job of putting the tag team division over but the return of the Dudleys just amped everything up.

#2 Eight Man Tag Team

Babyface victory

This match was just put together for all eight superstars to have something to do following Summerslam. This isn’t the first time it’s happened. And this isn’t the first time that all of this has been so much fun. The match was fantastic. It did the job of entertaining the crowd and Owens and Rusev attacking Show and then the babyface team doing the same was cherry on the cake.

That RKO on Big Show with assists from cesaro and Ryback was really cool.

Also, focusiing on the little things- how awesome was it when Owens went to help Sheamus but decided not to?!

#3 Suplex City

The Beast and The Advocate

Bo Dallas making an appearance in a Lesnar- Heyman segment was him either being bold or delusional. This segment was hard- hitting, comic and tragic altogther. The last two adjectives are apt for Dallas but before his appearance Heyman was in the midst of another great promo.

The Beast did not lose and Heyman will be darned if he did not tell the true story.

Heyman’s aggression here was the main point. He urged Lesnar to attack Dallas. That shows the level of anger Summerslam has caused to not just the Beast but his advocate as well.

What makes Sting special? His first AEW opponent opens up RIGHT HERE.
