#10 Oscar Robertson

#10, at Sporstkeeda's list of Top 10 NBA all-time scoring leaders is Oscar Robertson.

Oscar Robertson a.k.a Big O played for the Cincinnati Royals and Milawaukee Bucks. The Tennessee-born point guard is the only player in NBA history to average a triple-double for a season.

Robertson stands 10th in the list of top career point scorers with 26,710 points scored in 1,040 games at an average of 25.68 points per game.

Robertson was instrumental in Milawaukee's only 1970-71 NBA title, and was ranked as the 36th best American athlete of the 20th century by ESPN.

#9 Hakeem Olajuwon

One of Houston Rocket's greatest centers and perhaps of all time, Hakeem Olajuwon captivated the game from 1984-1992. Born in Nigeria, he migrated to the States to play for the University of Houston. In the 1984 draft he was picked to play for Houston Rockets.

Hakeem racked up 26,946 points in 1,238 appearances, maintaining an average of 21.77 points per game.

In 1993–94, he became the only player in NBA history to win the NBA MVP, Defensive Player of the Year and Finals MVP awards in the same season. In 1996, Olajuwon was a member of the Olympic gold-medal-winning USA team, and was selected as one of the 50 Greatest Players in NBA history.

#8 Elvin Hayes

Born in 1945, Elvin Hayes played for the Baltimore/Washington Bullets (1972-81) and had two spells at the Houston Rockets where he started his career in 1968 and carried on till 1972 before returning for his second tenure from 1981 to 1984.

The Power forward has 27,313 points to his name averaging 20.96 points in 1,303 games, placing him eighth in the all-time top point scorers list.

Hayes is also an inductee of the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.

#7 Moses Malone

Moses Eugene Malone had a 21-year professional basketball career. The retired Hall of Famer is a three time NBA Most Valuable Player and one of NBA's 50 Greatest Players.

Beginning his tenure at the Buffalo Braves, Big Mo achieved 27,409 points in his career playing for eight teams, with a total of 1,329 games averaging 20.62 points per game.

Being the most successful prep-to-pro player of his era, Malone was the last active player to play in the ABA and he won the championship ring with the Philadelphia 76ers in 1983.

#6 Shaquille O\'Neal

Former American basketball player Shaquille O'Neal was one of the heaviest players ever to play in the NBA. Throughout his time at the NBA, O'Neal utilized his physicality to overpower opponents for points and rebounds.

He ranks 6th all-time in points scored, with 28,596 in 1,207 games at an average of 23.69 points per game.

His resume includes six teams for which he played in his career - Orlando Magic (1992-96), LA Lakers (1996-2004), Miami Heat (2004-08), Phoenix Suns (2008-09), Cleveland Cavaliers (2009-10) and Boston Celtics (2010-11).

#5 Wilt Chamberlain

Wilt Chamberlain played for three different teams in his career at NBA (Philadelphia/San Franciso, Philadelphia 76ers and LA Lakers).

The late NBA great stands fifth in all time career point charts with a total of 31,419 points in 1,045 career games, at an incredible average of 30.07 points per game.

Chamberlain is the only player to have scored 100 points in a single NBA game and to average more than 40 and 50 points in a season. He is also the only player in NBA history to average at least 30 points and 20 rebounds per game in a season, a feat he accomplished nine times. In addition, Chamberlain is the only player to average at least 30 points and 20 rebounds per game over the entire course of his NBA career.

#4 Kobe Bryant

Kobe Bryant has been playing for the Los Angeles Lakers since starting his career in 1996. He has guided his team to consecutive championships in 2009 and 2010. He has won the All-Star MVP award four times and has been voted as Top NBA Player of The 2000's.

Bryant became the youngest player to achieve 30,000 career points at the age of 34. Currently he occupies the fouth position in the ranks of all time points scored with 31,700 total points in 1,245 games played, for an average of 25.46 points per game.

Bryant has also made 11,055 field goals and 7,950 free throws.

#3 Michael Jordan

Jordan played for Chicago Bulls and ended his playing career at Washington Wizards in 2003.

Featuring in a total of 1,476 games, the Louisiana born player is the second highest points scorer of all time, scoring 36,928 points with an average of 25.02 points per game.

Malone was a two-time NBA Most Valuable Player, a 14-time NBA All-Star, and an 11-time member of the All-NBA first team.In 2010. he was inducted into the Naismith Hall Of Fame.

#1 Kareem Abdul-Jabbar

Record six-time NBA MVP winner Kareem Abdul Jabbar leads the way as top career point scorer of all time. The man known for his skyhook shot played for Milawaukee Bucks (1969-1975) and Los Angeles Lakers (1975-1989).

Retired in 1989, he is credited scoring 38,387 points in 1,560 appearances, averaging 24.61 points per game.

ESPN voted him the greatest center of all time in 2007 and in 2008 they named him the "greatest player in college basketball history."
