With the transfer window edging towards its end, clubs are looking to finish their transfer business as soon as possible, so as to have the best squad to challenge for silverware. Here are all the top transfer rumours of the day:

#1 Arsenal

• Upon failing to sign Real Madrid’s Sami Khedira, Arsenal are not looking to sign Wolfsburg midfielder Luiz Gustavo, reports Metro.

• According to the Guardian, Lukas Podolski’s agent has denied receiving any offers for his client from Juventus and Napoli.

• As per the Daily Mail, Arsenal target and Olympiacos defender Kostas Manolas is on the verge of completing his £10.4m move to Roma.

• According to Metro, Arsenal are looking to sign Torino forward Alessio Cerci as manager Arsene Wenger looks to improve his attacking line-up.

• Arsenal have resumed their chase for Sporting Lisbon midfielder William Carvalho after club reduces their asking price to £24million, reports Express.

#2 Chelsea

• According to the Daily Star, Chelsea are still looking for yet another striker, and Roma striker Mattia Destro is their number 1 target.

• Chelsea’s Fernando Torres is speculated to have been resisting his loan move to AC Milan, reports Mirror. Milan are looking to sign a replacement for Mario Balotelli who has recently signed for Liverpool.

#3 Manchester United

• Manchester United target-Mehdi Benatia’s meeting with Bayern Munich to discuss his future was cancelled, according to Sky Italia journalist Gianluca di Marzio.

• Angel Di Maria’s move to Manchester United from Real Madrid is yet to be confirmed, but the winger was seen arriving at Manchester United's Carrington training ground to finalise his transfer, reports the Daily Mail.

• Manchester United will now turn their focus to the signing Arturo Vidal from Juventus, after completing the transfer of Angel Di Maria, reports ESPN’s Miguel Delaney.

• Manchester United midfielder Marouane Fellaini’s move to Napoli has broken down after the midfielder had suffered an ankle injury, confirms the Independent.

#4 Real Madrid and Barcelona

• According to Italian newspaper Il Mattino, Real Madrid central midfielder Asier Illarramendi has been offered to Seria A side Napoli.

• Borussia Dortmund manager Jurgen Klopp insists that Barcelona-target Marco Reus will not be leaving the club and will continue to play for Dortmund for a long time, reports Metro.

• As per Goal, Fiorentina’s Juan Cuadrado has refused to rule out the possibility of moving to a different club this summer,

• Barcelona officials have arrived in São Paulo to complete the signing of 24-year-old right-back Douglas, reports Mundo Deportivo.
