Top WWE superstars who have accepted the ALS Ice Bucket challenge

For the past several days, the ALS ice bucket challenge has taken over the internet as the awareness activity has been the most viral thing on social media. The concept was kickstarted by Pete Frates, a US baseball player and ALS patient, whose idea of the challenge has now turned into a worldwide activity among the celebrities of all fields.If you arent still aware about the awareness programme, the ice bucket challenge is completed by posting a video of themselves dumping a bucket of cold ice on their heads. And then they willhave to challenge someone to do the same ormake a donation to an organisation dedicated to fighting ALS. If that someone completes the task, then he will have to extend and nominate others to take up the challenge and so the cycle goes on.The challenge is to raise awareness about Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) which is neuro-degenerative and is also known as motor neurone disease (MND), or Lou Gehrig's disease in the US. And various celebrities have shown their support in this programme as they have posted videos online afterdumpingcold water on themselves and challenged others.From Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg to tech tycoons Bill Gates, this has crossed over to mainstream sports and entertainment as well. And our beloved WWE superstars have been very sound in showingtheir support for the ALS patients. #1 Triple H

Challenged by – Ben Roethlisberger's of Pittsburgh Steelers

Challenges – Stone Cold Steve Austin, Hulk Hogan and Vince McMahon

Triple H accepted Ben Roethlisberger’s challenge outside the Staples Center in Los Angeles before SummerSlam and extended the challenge to WWE Hall of Famers Steve Austin, Hulk Hogan and his father-in-law Vince McMahon.

#2 The Miz

Challenges – His friends, Twitter, Facebook and Instagram followers

The Miz exemplified his heel persona as he denied pouring ice over his moneymaker hollywood face. But he issued a challenged to all his fans on social media and to a few of his buddies before his wife, former WWE Diva Maryse, poured cold water over his face and concluded the video with some loving words for her husband.

#3 Stephanie McMahon

Challenged by – Maria Menounos

Challenges – San Francisco 49ers, Cast of Total Divas, the WWE universe.

Before her match against Brie Bella at SummerSlam, Maria Menounos caught up with Stephanie McMahon and asked her to take up the ALS challenge. She accepted it and was assisted by MMA champion Ronda Rousey and The Four Horsewomen who poured mostly ice all over her.

#4 Seth Rollins

This was a different presentation to the usual online videos as it was done in a WWE backstage segment on the Raw show. Money in the Bank winner Seth Rollins went on bragging about his SummerSlam victory over his nemesis Dean Ambrose to Renee Young backstage before Ambrose poured a bucket on him from behind, claiming that it was for charity. It was a funny approach to the awareness programme before a brawl broke out between the two superstars.

#5 Vince Mcmahon

Challenges – Donald Trump, Maria Menounos, Kermit The Frog

Vince McMahon accepted Triple H’s challenge as he reminded everyone that he can do anything better than his son-in-law. In turn, he challenged billionaire and long-time rival Donald Trump, celebrity TV correspondent and WWE fan Maria Menounos and Jim Henson’s famous muppet creation Kermit The Frog.

Challenges By Edge -Rey Mysterio, Tayor Hawkins of Foo Fighters, Jayson Werth of Washington Nationals and by Christian Chris Jericho, Dolph Ziggler.

Best friends and WWE superstars Edge( former) and Christian were nominated by another former wrestler Tommy Dreamer. They extended their challenges to others in a video where even former WWE Diva Beth Phoenix, Edges wife appeared.

#8 Chris Jericho

Challenges William Shatner, ChaelSonnen, Paul Stanley.
