Is Erik Lamela on his way to the Serie A?

AC Milan could consider bringing back Kevin-Prince Boateng to San Siro in January, but he will have to take a wage cut if he leaves FC Schalke. The German international is currently training with Milan after being told by his club that he no longer has a future with the Bundesliga outfit, as per ESPN.

Boateng was dropped from the squad, along with Sidney Sam in May due to disciplinary reasons. Schalke’s director of sports Horst Heldt has given him the permission to train with the Serie A outfit, but he has stated that a deal of rejoining his former club may not be possible in January as he is contracted with the club until the end of the season.

“He's obviously really desperate [to join Milan], but it's a complicated situation because he's contracted to Schalke until the end of the season, which is why he might remain there, bearing also in mind the fact that the contract he has is financially lucrative,” Heldt said.

Reports from Italian media outlets suggest Rossoneri's rivals Inter Milan are following up their interest in Tottenham duo Erik Lamela and Jan Vertonghen, according to Sky Sports. It is thought Inter sporting director Piero Ausilio was keeping tabs on Lamela and Vertonghen during Spurs’ Europa League tie against Anderlecht.

Real Madrid forward Jese could be on his way out of Santiago Bernabeu in January due to a lack of first-team opportunities, as per Sky Sports. The Real Madrid winger’s situation has alerted Liverpool and Arsenal but the two Premier League sides have a face a stiff competition in the race to seal the 22-year-old’s signature from Napoli. It appears Napoli have emerged as front-runners for Jese after having him scouted during Los Blancos’ 1-0 win over the French champions on Tuesday night.

Italian champions Juventus are eyeing up on a move for Sevilla’s Ever Banega this January. The player will become a free agent in the summer and the club are desperate to sell him off during the winter transfer window, according to Goal.

The Brazil international had previously spent time at Real Madrid but failed to cement his place in the starting lineup. Kaka is believed to be keen on a return to La Liga. Whereas, Kaka’s former teammate at Santiago Bernabeu Cristiano Ronaldo told Laurent Blanc that he would like to work with him, reports Le Parisien.

The Portuguese superstar’s future has been subject to much scrutiny in recent weeks, with PSG among the possible future destinations for the 30-year-old. According to the french newspaper, the PSG manager was approached by the former Manchester United forward and he had complimented his team after the match.

“Your team plays really well. I’d like to work with you.” Blanc admitted.

Barcelona have given up on the race to sign Juventus’ Paul Pogba after being ‘priced out’, according to TalkSport. The Italian champions reportedly want £70 million, with the player’s wages set to exceed £200,000-a-week. As a result Barca are now setting their sights on other targets when their transfer ban is lifted in January.

Everton have placed a price tag of £45 million on the club’s biggest asset Romelu Lukaku to fend off interests from Europe’s elite clubs. The Belgian international was brought in to Goodison Park from Chelsea for £28 million in 2014.

Lukaku has been playing an integral part in the Merseyside Blues’ squad and he is reportedly happy working under Spanish coach Roberto Martinez. The Turkish international has been impressive for both club and country this season and Bayer Leverkusen has insisted Calhanoglu will not be sold for any less than £29 million.

Calhanoglu could make a surprising move in January if any of the Premier League teams are willing to activate his buy-out clause with Barcelona also said to be lining up an offer.

Arsenal target Napoli’s combative midfielder Jorginho to provide competition for Francis Coquelin. However, Jorginho’s agent has confirmed that he will sit down with Napoli sporting director Cristiano Guintilo next week to discuss a new long-term contract for his client, TalkSport reports.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is keen on bringing in Bayer Leverkusen’s Stefan Kiessling to Anfield during winter transfer window, as per reports on ESPN. Klopp has been a long-term admirer of the German international and he has been dropped down the pecking order since the arrival of Javier Hernandez from Manchester during summer.

Kiessling has scored 123 goals in 297 Bundesliga appearances for Leverkusen since joining from Nurnberg in 2006 and a move on the striker would be a good decision by the former Dortmund manager, whose strikers are suffering from long-term injuries.

Aubameyang worked along with Klopp at Westfalenstadion last season and the German coach is open to a reunion with the former Saint-Etienne forward at Anfield. However, Aubameyang had revealed earlier this week that he wishes to fulfil his late grandfather’s wish by joining Los Blancos in the near future.
