World T20: India vs Australia - 5 players in focus

After being qualified for semi-finals, first time since they last won the trophy in 2007, India would not be under any kind of pressure for their tie against Australia this evening.Australia have slim hopes of qualifying into semis which can be dashed completely if other results don't go in their favour. Nevertheless, both teams will give their all to win the match.India needs to continue their winning momentum before the semis while Australia does not like to lose against their major opponents. Here are the five players who can swing the match in favour of their respective team:

#5 Shane Watson

At No.5 is fierce Australian all-rounder Shane Watson. He comes at crucial No. 3 spot after the big hitting opening pair of Finch-Warner. Lately, he has been a pale shadow of himself both with the bat and ball, which is a major reason for worry for Australia. What happens is that when Aussies lose their first wicket, they tend to lose the second shortly which brings the opposition into the match. If he gets going which he more often does against the Indians, it will be a night to forget for India.

#4 Ravichandran Ashwin

On turning wickets, India's boiling suddenly looks potent thanks to their three front-line spinners who can purchase turn and bounce from the surface. If India bowls first, it will be an advantage for the likes of Ashwin to contain the Aussies to a below par score as the case was in last three matches. He can open the bowling and doesn't back out from bowling in the death overs. If he gets going, the tie will be a one sided affair as has been the norm for Indians in this tournament.

#3 Amit Mishra

He has been a paid tourist for India for the past year to year and half. But when given the chance he has always rise to the occasion. More valuable than keeping the run-rate in check, he is taking wickets in abundance. It's good for the game of cricket to see a leg-spinner flighting the ball and turning it away from the batsman in the shortest form as said by many commentators on air. He has already won the two man of match awards in his first two matches of this World T20.

#2 Glenn Maxwell

He has come a long way from being a million dollar baby to become an established batsman in the Australian middle order. He almost single handedly won the game for Aussies against Pakistan, and is in red hot form for Aussies this world cup. With every shot in the book and many more improvised and a strike rate of over two hundred, he is go to man for Aussies.

#1 Virat Kohli

Kohli is in the form of his life. He can't put a foot wrong now-a-days. With every shot in the book in his repertoire, he can play with ease every kind of delivery whether it is short ball or yorker. Moreover, he can hit the same ball on both sides of the ground courtesy of his wrist work. In past matches, he has ensured that India chased the target with minimum fuss. He is one of the best finishers of the game.
