10 Dream matches that we might not see in WWE

Everyone has dreams and for die hard wrestling fans, their dreams are filled with wrestling matches that they want to see in the in the squared circle.Over the years, fans have always drooled about the prospect of such dream matches happening and every time a rumor starts rounding about the possibility, they usually start the prayers to make sure that the match happens. But sometimes due to the circumstances, the prayers wont be enough. Though most of those matches would go down as big draws for the promotion that chances of it happening are slim making and these could end up as dreams that never came true.So here is a look at some of those matches that may never happen though we dream about it.

#11 Honorable mentions:

Undertaker vs. John Cena

CM Punk vs. Kurt Angle

Brock Lesnar vs. Shawn Michaels

Undertaker vs. Daniel Bryan

#10 AJ Lee vs. Lita

Ladies first as they say, Lita and AJ Lee have been two women who literally lifted the division on their shoulder.

And we all know that AJ’s biggest idol is Lita and the image of a young AJ crying when she met Lita is still a memorable site to many. So pitting these two divas from entirely different eras is one thing that would put the women in the mainstream.

Though its good on paper, Lita might not get back into the ring as things stand now. she is touring with her band now and despite being inducted into the hall of fame, she getting into the ring for one match with AJ might remain as a wish.

#9 Steve Austin vs. Goldberg

It’s a match that we all missed when Goldberg came to WWE and that was because, Austin retired just before Goldberg made his high profile switch.

With Steve Austin being the biggest star of WWE and Goldberg being the same for WCW, this was a match that had to happen. But unfortunately it didn’t and from where we stand now, it may never happen again.

Austin hasn’t been interested in getting back into the ring for a long time now and the friction between Goldberg and WWE isn’t a secret either. They could come back for one last match, but then again it’s going to be nowhere near the expectations.

#8 John Cena vs. Hulk Hogan

A battle of the generations, this is one battle that would’ve happened if Hogan stayed in WWE instead of going to TNA.

Cena is practically the replacement for Hogan and his Hulkamania in the PG Era and the match surely would’ve been one of those pass the torch moments.

Hogan previously had a similar match with the Rock at WrestleMania which remains as a memorable moment.

The Cenation against the Hulkamania is not going to happen since Hogan is well past his wrestling days and looking back to his career, Hogan may not regret many decisions other than heading to TNA and wasting some good time there.

#7 Steve Austin vs. Brock Lesnar

It’s a sad fact that Steve Austin left WWE when the company was planning to pit him up against Lesnar. The writers wanted the two to face off in Raw without much of a hype but Austin refused saying that there was a lot of money in the match.

But before it could materialize, the rattle snake packed his bags and went home much to the misery of the fans.

After that the closest thing that happened between the two was at WrestleMania XX where Stone Cold delivered a stunner to Lesnar after Lesnar’s horrible match with Goldberg.

But even if it would happen, Steve Austin is in on shape to face Lesnar who just got star struck also after ending the streak.

#6 Daniel Bryan vs. Shawn Michaels

This is a match that was teased heavily over the past year but never took off. Daniel Bryan is arguably the best student of Shawn Michaels and the fans would just feed into the Student- Teacher angle without thinking much.

In one way, Bryan is just a counterpart of Michaels and a battle between the true is simply a match made in heaven.

The reason why this might not happen is because of the unpredictability that Michaels bring to the table. While most wrestlers retire twice or thrice and return later, Michaels have been keeping his word for almost five years now.

Coming out of retirement for his student is something that could happen but the WWE may not pit up the idea as Bryan is immensely over and Michaels would simply overshadow his momentum.

#5 Steve Austin vs. Hulk Hogan

The reason why Steve Austin’s name is being uses many times is simply because he is someone who left before he gave everything he could for the company.

Austin still had a plethora of matches to give the fans and this one falls right on top of the list. when WCW got Hogan and turned him heel to steal the ratings, what WWE did was make Austin their beer bashing face.

Both superstars were enjoying success in a parallel manner and by the time Hogan made it back to WWE, it was too late.

And as said earlier, both the men are well past their wrestling days and forcing Hogan back into the ring will just be an insult to the things he achieved throughout his career.

#4 Dudleys vs. Hardy Boys

Unlike most of the matches in the list, this is a match that actually happened. But the fans still dream of the two decorated teams getting it out in the ring for one last time.

Dudleys hasn’t been on the same page for some time now as Bully Ray is getting a big singles push in TNA while D-Von is nowhere is to be seen.

On the other side we have Jeff Hardy, who has no idea what he does in TNA and Matt Hardy who isn’t interested in getting back into WWE because of having his own promotion. WWE rallying up all four men and making the match happen doesn’t look like a possibility though it’s something that the fans would love.

#3 Bray Wyatt vs. The Undertaker

There won’t be many superstars in the current roster who could boast about being similar to the Undertaker when it comes to his gimmick. But Bray Wyatt is an exception, he build his character around the same creepiness that Taker was known for and without any doubt Bray is someone who could fill in the void.

And a match between the two is clearly something to look forward to.

But since Taker is in a bad physical condition and even ended his streak , the chances of Taker getting back in the ring to face an upcoming talent is very low.

Taker may have matches against some big names, but Bray isn’t someone who could be lucky enough to face Taker before he hangs up his boots.

#2 Rock vs. Shawn Michaels

The match between, Shawn Michaels and Rock is considered as one of the best matches that never happened in WrestleMania.

And the fans have all the rights to say so. Rock was someone around which the company built itself in the Attitude Era when Michaels was a legend without which there wouldn’t have been any Attitude era.

Rock and Michaels working out a match simply would’ve earned a five star rating and above all the exchange of words between the two would’ve added more depth to the whole thing. But Michaels and his retirement haunt this one also.

WWE has to push both the stars into the match first which well might be a long shot.

#1 Kurt Angle vs. Daniel Bryan

Two of the most gifted technicians in the ring, a battle between Angle and Bryan are going to be a wrestling school.

Both the superstars are extreme athletes and could even go on wrestling for hours without even taking a gap to have some breath.

But the reason why this might be held back is Kurt Angle’s stand on WWE. Though he recently claimed that he wanted to return to the promotion it was later revealed that he might take a twisted turn and join Jeff Jarrett’s Global force Wrestling.

And along with that there are reports about Angle having heat from the WWE backstage which might hinder the hopes of the fans.
