10 Life Lessons we can Learn from WWE Superstars

CM Punk

Just Triple H thingsThe muggles outside the wrestling community see wrestling as a barbaric television show where two half naked men (or women) hit each other for some belt even when they are any wearing any pants. But for us wrestling fans, it is a big part of our life that teaches us many things.Everything that you come across in your life teaches you a lesson. Professional wrestling is no different. Professional wrestling business and the wrestlers that are involved in the same has given us a lot of valuable lessons that are worth following in our life. Some of these lessons are so deep that you will probably see Adele Rolling somewhere near them. Internet jokes apart here is a look at some of the life lessons that WWE superstars have taught us.

#11 Honourable Mention: Sometimes, you end up hating your dream job - CM Punk

CM Punk

This is actually one of the life lessons that we could learn from CM Punk. This one is from the point of view of his fans and from the point of view of his haters, the life lesson that CM Punk gave was: Bitching is something that everyone hates.

#10 You don\'t have to work every day to be rich: Brock Lesnar

Brock Lesnar

Brock Lesnar is the prime example of working intelligently. If we take his track record, the guy had a great career. He made a name for himself in the business, and then went on to star in UFC. He increased his stock with both the reigns and now, he just has to work four or five days per year and earns more than all the mid carders put together.

He did get a lot of help from the WWE management during his initial run, but Lesnar showed us how to succeed in a career and then use the same to bargain a deal that brings you both money and good holidays.

#9 Don\'t be afraid to love the daughter of your boss: Triple H

Triple H

Are you in love with the daughter of your boss? Are you afraid that you might screw up your career due to the same? Well, as we learned from Triple H, not all love stories involving the boss’ daughter have a tragic ending. Hunter was in a relationship with Chyna at one point and he had an affair in-between with Stephanie McMahon (Hunter is good at multitasking).

And once Chyna was fired from WWE, the path became clear for Hunter. He married Stephanie and is now all set to take over his father in law as the chairman of WWE. So go ahead and try your luck.

#8 No matter how successful you are, never mismanage finance: Paul Heyman

Paul Heyman

Never take Paul Heyman as a financial mentor. The guy is a wrestling genius and could outclass the likes of Vince McMahon and all the other promoters out there today. But when it came to managing the finance, Heyman was not a role model. ECW was the hottest thing back in the late 90s and everything about the company was off the charts.

The company, however, went bankrupt. Not having a television deal was one of the problems but still, most of the ECW originals opined that Heymans lack of business skills is what cost the company in the end. At the end of the day, no matter how good you are in your job, unless you manage your finance properly, you are destined to go down.

#7 Life is hard, drink beer: Steve Austin

Steve Austin

Are you having a tough time? Have beer. Are you happy? Have beer. Are you having a fight with your boss? Have beer. Do you want to insult your opponent? Make him bath in beer.

Having a beer in every situation under the sun is what Steve Austin taught us. And he didnt just sip them down from a big class. He took two cans, smashed them together and drank in the coolest way possible. He did have a successful career in the wrestling business, but the first thing that probably comes to our mind when we think about Steve Austin is his beers. So is your life hard? Drink beer.

#6 You could be a rock star and a wrestler: Chris Jericho

Chris Jericho

Achieving childhood dreams is something that most WWE superstars did. These superstars, however, had one dream to live. Chris Jericho, on the other hand, had two. And instead of going on an achieving just one from the lot, he achieved both. Why? Because, achieving one childhood dream is too mainstream.

He wanted to be a wrestler and a rock star when he was a child and is currently successful in both fields. Apart from these two, Jericho went on to become a best-selling author as well. That, Ladies and Gentlemen, is how you make a mark with your lifetime. And yeah on a lighter note, Chris Jericho invented everything.

#5 Critics can go to hell: Daniel Bryan and everyone else

Daniel Bryan

Frankly, I could have included many wrestlers with his life lesson. But since Daniel Bryan is the most recent example, he gets the pick. Bryan is not a prototype WWE superstar. He is not masculine or doesnt have the Hollywood looks. In Triple Hs words, Bryan was just a B+ player. But he had a dream to reach the top and he did just that.

Despite all the criticisms that came his way, Bryan went on to do the unthinkable and gave the fans a historic moment to cherish at WrestleMania 30. Bryan is just a representative here and all the wrestlers who came through criticism to reach the top deserve a place alongside him.

#4 All good things must come to an end Undertaker

Undertaker

Undertakers WrestleMania streak was a good thing. It spannedmore than two decades but then the realization struck. All good things come to an end and so did Undertakers streak. The streak ended at the hands of Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania and it managed to shock the entire WWE Universe. The same goes to the career of every WWE superstar out there.

They might have an illustrious career in the business, but one day or the other the career comes to an end. In fact, on a larger point of view, even our life comes to an end at one day. Now, lets not get too emotional here.

#3 Adapt or Perish: John Cena

John Cena

Adapting to the situation is one of the biggest life hacks a person could have. Adapt with the time, adapt with the surroundings and adapt with people, all of these should go hand in hand if you are to stay relevant in the world. John Cena is learning this lesson the hard way. He had a successful gimmick in 2005 and Cena stuck with the same thing for the next decade.

He refused to change and the fans have turned on him. People are now holding Cena responsible for a lot of bad things and it is because of his refusal to be something different. The next life lesson could also define Cena, but it fits Vince McMahon better.

#2 No matter how good you do, one wrong will define you: Chris Benoit

Chris Benoit

You could do a lot of good things in your life but the people will judge you by the one mistake that you committed. Chris Benoit is the best example for the same. He had a wrestling career that spanned for decades. Benoit dedicated everything he had for the business and was one of the most respected names.

However, all it took was three days. The suicide-murder tragedy washed away everything that Benoit achieved in his career and most of the people currently recognize him as a murderer rather than a great wrestler that he was. The worst part is that, no one really knew what happened in the house that day and there are numerous theories that still circulates on the web to this day.

#1 You either die a hero or live long enough to become a villain: Vince McMahon

Vince McMahon

It is a famous quote from the Dark Knight movie, but there won’t be a better life lesson from Vince McMahon. He revolutionalized the wrestling business with his brilliance and took out his competition one by one. He was responsible for some excellent storylines and eras in WWE’s rich history but now, the fans see him as the villain.

WWE fans are blaming him for the current storylines and angles that the franchise is producing. Almost all of them are calling for his retirement and Vince, without even appearing on television has morphed into the biggest villain of WWE. For the record, Vince McMahon is not compared to Batman in any sense.
