5 biggest losers of Wrestlemania 31

Many criticized the build-up for the biggest show of the year, but Wrestlemania 31 was without a doubt one of greatest, most impressive mania of recent years (and arguably of all time).A collection of surprise appearances, shocking results, spectacular moments, amazing matches and other fantastic moments helped produce an event worthy to be known as the grandest stage of them all. The show surpassed all expectations and most certainly left the majority of fans satisfied.Overall everyone was really a winner, but there were certain stars that didn’t get to excel as well as others.Let’s take a look now at 5 of the biggest losers of Wrestlemania 31.

#5 Bray Wyatt

The eater of worlds Bray Wyatt had the biggest match of his entire career as he attempted to put away the Phenom and officially cement himself as the new face of fear.

The match itself was fairly solid and the crowd treated it as a big deal but it wasn’t one of Takers best bouts. Although it was still much better than last year’s debacle of a mania match against Lesnar in which the streak was broken.

Unfortunately for Wyatt, he lost to the Undertaker which now marks his second straight loss at Wrestlemania.

#4 Sting

Sting had an absolutely amazing debut WWE bout at Wrestlemania but unfortunately for him he still finds himself on the loser list for Wrestlemania because of the simple fact that he lost his first ever match inside a WWE ring.

Most expected Sting would without a doubt emerge victorious but WWE threw a massive curve ball having NOW/DX interfere before having Triple H pin the vigilante.

Sting had a great performance proving he can still go in the ring but ultimately he still lost to the king of kings.

#3 John Cena

Despite winning his mania bout and capturing the United States Championship, John Cena still finds himself on our losers’ list.

The story for this match was so simple, the all American warrior challenged the undefeated foreign Russian monster and finally dethroned him. However even with the patriotic angle which should have almost forced fans to cheer Cena, he still received a massive rain of boos.

Combine that with the fact that the match itself was only average and very similar to a typical Cena bout puts the new champ here on our list of mania losers.

#2 Roman Reigns

Simply put, Roman Reigns got the absolute hell beaten out of him by the monster beast, Brock Lesnar.

The beast Lesnar hit Reigns with suplex after suplex officially introducing him to ‘Suplex City’. Roman was annihilated by the beast incarnate getting destroyed for the majority of the match. Top that with the fact that Reigns eventually took the pinfall loss to Seth Rollins.

In Reigns defence, he did show a lot of heart not losing much earlier even kicking out of more F5’s than The Undertaker could handle last year.

#1 Rusev

The monster heel Rusev not only lost his United States Championship but he also lost his undefeated streak that has defined him for so long.

Despite dominating a large portion of the bout, the match itself was only average and Rusev eventually took the loss. Rusev lost after only one Attitude Adjustment which was a bit of letdown especially since he had already kicked out of one AA at Fastlane.

Rusev made one of the grandest entrances but eventually found himself facing the wrath of super Cena like so many before him (including Wyatt last year).
