Sometimes wrestling gimmicks are such that they make a character adorn a particular attire on a particular jewellery. There are those times when the company just wants to increase merchandise sales and they come out with logical to outrageous merchandise choices. But there have been many wrestlers who’ve had to shed a lot of dramatic attire to finally step in and wrestle in their usual trunks and tights. Some just have that little touch of jewellery which are quite cool in their own way. If medals were considered jewellery, Angle and Rusev would have made the list. Here are 5 male wrestlers who wore jewellery to the ring-

#5 John Cena

John Cena won’t have been a chain gang leader without his own set of chains now, would he? Cena still wears a chain around his neck which he kisses everytime before taking it off for his matches. Way before when he was a chain gang leader he had a real chain for an adornment which was quite heavy than the variation he chooses to wear now. He even had those Word Life rings/ brass knuckles.

It has been a usual presence in all of Cena’s appearances. It really might mean something to him. Fans have called it a dog tag to something that his father gave it to him or something that his mother gave it to him or said that it’s just for plain luck.

#4 Jeff Hardy

The High Flyer

Jeff Hardy will always be the original high flyer from the WWE. He took flights from heights never ever even imagined before. His entire presence which was a combination of facepaints, piercings, chains, baggy pants, tattoos, long hair and vest will always belong to him.

Hardy definitely had a unique appearance.

Though, you won’t be able to actually notice the chains and the piercings beyond the facepaint, he still adorned himself with them. It fit his gimmick quite well and gave him a cool persona. All of this did lead to him eventually getting to the main event

#3 HBK

The Heart Break Kid during the early part of his singles career.

Shawn Michaels certainly is certainly amongst those breed of wrestlers who are flashy and immensely gifted in the ring. His entrance and theme music are quite the spectacular kind but what garnered him even more attention during his early days was his nonchalent attitude, arrogance and the way he primarily looked.

With Sensational Sherri by his side, Michaels walked to the ring in his fancy jackets and pants. But he also wore earrings. Not like little, rounded off earrings but real, huge danglers.

He wore it in different shapes and shades. He carried that look off seamlessly. Combine that with his hairdo and the shades he wore, and there you have a ridiculously over look.

#2 The Godfather

The Godfather

Remember that time in 2013 when The Godfather returned during the Royal Rumble? Well, you would, if you watched the show even if he was eliminated as quickly as he entered the ring. It was a funny moment firmly done to entertain the crowd and get them nostalgic. But his entrance was longer than his time inside the squared circle. Why? It took him some time to walk to the rhythm of his music and then some more time to take off his jcket and his jewellery, mainly his chain.

He was one of those characters who carried off his look with panache.

#1 Papa Shango

Boo!

Charles Wright makes another appearance on the list and it just shows that nobody displays as much swag as he does with all those adornments around ones neck. Well, Papa Shango was a voodoo practitioner. That required a certain get up of ridiculous proportions. He would cast spells and generally make strange things happen.

He would wear necklaces which would have skulls and other bone attachments to it.

Basically, without that, his look was incomplete.

The gimmick didn’t go that far. The Godfather was much more memorable.
