5 Possible feuds for Bray Wyatt after Wrestlemania 31

WrestleMania 31 was one of the few PPVs in recent memory where the WWE exceeded expectations. There were some results that weren’t exactly putting over the younger stars, but nevertheless, each one of them delivered a strong performance.Bray Wyatt, who lost to the Undertaker had a great match and showed his talent at in-ring psychology, or as you’d say, telling a story in the ring. He had done a great job prior to the match having had to cut all promos on his own. Despite the loss, his status has clearly increased and he looks set for bigger things now.The post-WrestleMania period is crucial to him, just as to any other wrestler, and let’s takes a look at the possible feuds that Wyatt could have in the period leading up to Summerslam.

#5 Roman Reigns

Both of them are wrestlers who took defeat at WrestleMania. Reigns could have gone on for the title rematch but seeing as Randy Orton booked for that at Extreme Rules, Reigns needs a strong feud to keep him at the top.

We saw in the Royal Rumble how Wyatt could put in a long match and effectively, as well. Surely, with two strong men, it’ll be a great match in the ring just as it did with Lesnar. They could set this up with Wyatt seeking Reigns into his claws and saying how Reigns has a weakness of getting provoked when his family is spoken ill of.

Reigns has always been good at delivering the big spots in promos which draw cheers from the crowd and that should complement’s Wyatt’s ability to put in detailed promos regarding Reigns’ susceptibility.

#4 Ryback

Bray Wyatt has endured two consecutive high-profile losses but that hardly seems to damage him. His character has always been beyond just winning matches and should continue the same way. Once again, he should be the one to instigate a feud. Ryback has been having a good run since his return but then, he has nothing left now.

Bray Wyatt thrived when he had a stable and they should look to reform one if they are going to progress his character. Ryback could be the first guy to join that, despite him being a face.

Now that people are actually seeing Wyatt as a hybrid between a face and a heel, it wouldn’t matter much. He could feud with Ryback for one or two PPVs before making him join him and build up for the future.

#3 Dolph Ziggler

To have Wyatt turn face is one thing, but if they want to keep him as a heel, Ziggler is possibly the best option. This is one combination that has yet to be tried and could sure put up some exciting matches. Ziggler has been a fan favourite for a long time and needs something to continue his momentum.

Once again, Wyatt will be the man on the mic but Ziggler could very well play the guy who pops up the crowd and delivers his goods in the ring. It’s been a long time since Ziggler has been in such a programme where he’d have to be on par with Wyatt when it comes to telling a story, but with his connection to the crowd, we could expect him to pull it off.

#2 Sting

This is the feud that probably sets itself up given the unique gimmicks of either man. Sting’s fairytale run with Triple H has ended with a handshake after their WrestleMania match, and if the WWE are to build upon this further to set up a WWE-WCW story, it must only be done at the next WrestleMania. Sting, as of now, doesn’t have any feud just as Wyatt and could be set up to put Wyatt over big time.

Sting’s popularity is well-known while his mic skills are excellent. People have always wanted a ‘Sting v Taker’ feud but seeing as that wouldn’t have a chance of materializing until the next WrestleMania, he could go on against Wyatt. Sting is still capable in the ring as shown in his match against Triple H and seeing him wrestle always brings back the nostalgic memories.

This could very well built up as the previous generation against the current generation, and a passing of the torch to Wyatt.

#1 The Authority

We could very well say that the Authority’s influence on the WWE title has reached a saturation point. It has been going on for too long and the WWE must see fit to let Rollins be the Champion on his own for some time. In which case, Bray Wyatt could potentially feud with the Authority. The WWE have toyed with the idea of removing the Authority more than once but it has never really happened.

But, with Wyatt, they could possibly do it seeing as how much of the ‘cult leader’ appeals he has. Post-WrestleMania, with Brock Lesnar off the cards, this feud could prove to be the biggest crowd-puller.

Also, the WWE have some really strong wrestlers with the other titles so it’s only fair that the Authority stay off them. This feud would cement Wyatt’s face turn as the moment we’ve been waiting for so long. This also has the potential to be an extended programme going beyond Summerslam and possibly until Survivor Series.
