5 reasons why Triple H is the best opponent for Sting

Once Bray Wyatt sent out his cryptic tweet about killing the scorpion, the Internet fan community has been going wild about the potential feud that might happen between Bray and Sting. There is no official news about Sting signing a deal with the WWE but this hasn’t stopped the fans from buzzing about the dream feud that they want to see involving Sting.Though it might sound like a good idea to put a youngster like Wyatt against the legendary Sting, WWE should avoid taking that road. Instead, the best option that they have at their disposal as Sting’s opponent is none other than Hunter himself. And here are five reasons why the WWE writers should go ahead with the idea of Triple H feuding with Sting rather than putting their money on the likes of Bray Wyatt and the Undertaker.

#5 Stephanie McMahon gets involved

Stephanie might be someone who doesn’t get into the ring very often but she is a personality without which the WWE programming wouldn’t be complete.

She was instrumental in the rise of Daniel Bryan as the biggest rebel in the company and many even wished to see a match between Stephanie and Bryan since she was that good on the microphone.

Any feud that involves Stephanie is sure to attract a lot of heat from the WWE Universe and this coupled with the excitement surrounding Sting’s return would make this feud a big headline maker even before Hunter gets involved directly.

The trademark stalking of Sting and the promos of Stephanie against it would make it a must watch television event unlike the crap that the WWE is serving at this point.

#4 Hunter wouldnt mind taking a loss

The main two opponents in the picture for Sting apart from Triple H are the Undertaker and Bray Wyatt. Taker had a match with Brock Lesnar back in April which marked an end to his two decade long undefeated WrestleMania streak.

After suffering that loss, he could not tolerate another loss while Sting wouldn’t like to lose on his WWE debut leaving the fans in a deadlock situation. Also, Bray feuding with Sting would mean that the former has to lose which would further bury the eater of the worlds.

Hunter on the other hand would have no troubles losing to Sting. He knows what is best for business and wouldn’t have much problem in adding another loss to his resume unlike the other two.

#3 Prospect of bringing back WCW

When WWE ran the invasion angle once WCW sank, the biggest blunder they made was the lack of WCW stars. The whole invasion was termed as a big failure by the fans and critics alike but bringing back Sting would give the company another opportunity to make things right.

Though it has been more than a decade since WCW died, the company could bring back the promotion back into life with Sting and some youngsters. The icon could rally up a stable from the NXT or one consisting of former WCW superstars and give rise to the rebirth of the WCW brand.

This would be a big merchandise boost for WWE as they will be pressing the much sensitive nostalgia buttons of the fans. The WWE vs WCW would be back in place with Hunter and Sting as the respective leaders which would simply be awesome.

#2 Triple H is in a better condition than Undertaker

A majority of the WWE fans are still rooting for the dream match between Sting and Undertaker but those who watched the WrestleMania match between Taker and Lesnar would be thinking otherwise.

Taker was in his worst condition ever during that bout and Lesnar deserves some credit for carrying Taker throughout the match. Undertaker hasn’t still recovered from giving that twenty minute match which shows how bad his physical condition is.

At the same time, Sting being old makes him a liability in the ring to an extent meaning that both men wouldn’t be able to make each other look good. Hunter meanwhile has an impressive record of fighting older men and will easily make Sting look like gold rather than an old battered wrestler.

#1 The much needed icon against the Authority

Seth Rollins might’ve shown some potential to be the top heel in the company but the Authority still reigns in that throne. The only big potential opponent for the Authority currently would be Dean Ambrose but his feud is pretty much with Rollins rather than Hunter.

Once Ambrose gets his hands on Rollins, there won’t be any anti-authority rebels as there are no signs of Lesnar going that way as well.

However, if the company wants someone big to stand up against the evil rule, there wouldn’t be a better choice that Sting. He comes in with a lot of experience as an authority figure and a match between Triple H and Sting for the ownership of the company would fill the arenas for sure.
