5 related WWE superstars you probably didn't know about

WWE publicly presented some blood-related wrestlers on-screen like the Hardy Boyz, Eddie Guerrero and Chavo. However, not all of them were revealed to the WWE Universe. Instead, over the years, the company have put some of their superstars into storylines as relatives of each other. One such example is The Brothers of Destruction The Kane and Undertaker. Here, in this slideshow, we talk about 5 WWE Superstars that you didn’t know were related.

#1 Jerry Lawler and The Honky Tonk Man

The King and other, the King of Rock-n-Roll, Jerry “The King” Lawyer and The Honky Tonk Man are cousins.

Tonk can be referred to be perhaps, the greatest Intercontinental Champion in the history of the WWE with 64 consecutive weeks as the reigning champion. Although Jerry Lawler isn’t known for such an iconic in-ring career in the company, they both, interestingly made their commentary debut on Superstars.

#2 Road Warrior Animal and John Laurinaitis

We all know about John Laurinaitis and his “People Power” and the Hall-Of-Famer, Road Warrior Animal also is no stranger to the WWE Universe. What we may not know is the former General Manager of Raw and Smackdown, John Laurinaitis being the real life brother of Road Warrior Animal (Joseph Michael "Joe" Laurinaitis).

While the Road Warrior Animal is believed to have the big links with the WWE, his brother John Laurinaitis would mainly be known for his heel managerial activities on both Raw and Smackdown. Although, both John Laurinaitis and The Road Warrior were in the WCW at the same time, they were never seen to cross paths against each other.

#3 Rikishi and Roman Reigns

The legendary Anoa’i family relations are well known to everyone but here’s something which you might not have been aware of.

Rikishi (brother of Late Umaga) has lots of links to professional wrestlers with his son, Jimmy and Jey Uso, included. With him (Rikishi), having a deep wrestling heritage, one of his cousins is now the company’s biggest star, debuting two years back from now. Roman Reigns, also a member of the same Anoa’i family that produced the likes of Umaga and Yokozuna is a cousin of the legendary Rikishi.

Although Roman is a great athlete with some tremendous moves in his bag, it is least expected of him to deliver some of Rikishi’s moves.

#4 Roddy Piper And The Hart Family

The Hart Family is no stranger to the WWE Universe and their influence on the company over the last 3 decades simply cannot be discarded. Jimmy Hart, Bret Hart, Stu Hart and Owen Hart, all had a massive impact on the WWE.

Just when it seems like you’ve had all the answers to the questions, there’s one thing you may not have known. Roddy Piper is very much related to the Hart Family. He's a cousin of Bret “The Hitman” Hart. Since Piper has played a Scottish character throughout his career, it is easy to miss out on the relation but actually, he’s a Canadian by birth.

#5 The Rock and Roman Regins

This is perhaps the most interesting of all.

As a member of the Anoa’i family, Roman Reigns, the son of Sika of the Wild Samoan Tag Team (with AFA) and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, the son of Rocky Johnson are cousins. Unlike Dwayne Johnson, Roman Reigns is expected to be in the company for relatively a longer period of time on a constant basis.

While the Brahma Bull is always a fan favourite, Reigns, is finally able to find a place in the hearts of the WWE Universe. Currently, Roman is recovering for an injury and he might possibly return at the 2014 TLC PPV.
