5 Ways in Which WWE can revive Cesaro's career

A couple of months back, majority of the WWE fans wouldve had their money in Cesaro to win the WWE championship in 2014. His stock among the fans and in the company was so high that he was all over the internet for the good reasons. The run that started from WrestleMania saw him headline pay-per-views and have Paul Heyman by his side. However, all that looks to have gone in vain as the Swiss Superman has ended up just like the other rotting superstars in the midcard.Cesaro is staring right into the abyss right now with only a mere poke enough to mess up his career. There are only a handful of things that the company could do to revive his career and here is a look at the best options.

#5 Making him a midcard champion

WWE’s midcard is actually more messed up than the career of Cesaro at this moment. Both the champions in the section looks lost right now and WWE seems to be doing nothing to improve the situation.

Taking the title from one of them and putting it on Cesaro is not going to change anything as far as the landscape of the roster is concerned but it could help Cesaro some momentum till Lesnar goes away.

United States title is the best choice from the two as Sheamus and Cesaro could give A+ match in their sleep. Also if a unification match takes place, Cesaro could be the prime candidate to hold both the titles because he simply deserves it.

There are a lot of permutations WWE could have with Cesaro as the champion making this a great option.

#4 A new Tag team

The Real Americans was an instrumental part of Cesaro’s career and it was this association with Zeb Colter and Jack Swagger that gave him a much bigger exposure to the fans.

When the tag team exploded at WrestleMania, everyone was concerned about the future of Swagger as Cesaro was believed to be heading up. In contradiction to that, Swagger has a good program with Rusev heading to SummerSlam while Cesaro’s case is yet to be solved.

Giving a tag team partner to Cesaro at this stage would help him to rise back into the big picture and company would have another tag team in the degrading division.

Candidates for the same are many; however, Tyson Kidd would be an interesting choice as he is having a lot of momentum with his run in NXT.

#3 Face turn

The face – heel line in the company is blurred to be frank but the old school approach was there to be seen when they asked Cesaro to stop doing the swing so that the fans wouldn’t cheer a heel. ,

Cesaro due to his in ring brilliance was always over with the fans and everyone was just waiting to see him as a face. Split with Swagger at WrestleMania momentarily made that happen but the next day, WWE sent the message out that he is staying heel.

Heyman’s company was an integral part of Cesaro’s heel run and now that he is busy serving Brock Lesnar, it would be safe for WWE to turn Cesaro face.

It’s going to be a refreshing move for everyone and WWE can easily have him pull off matches with the established heels in the roster.

#2 Feud with Brock Lesnar

Paul Heyman guys are a phenomenon in professional wrestling, period. However, the relationships between these guys haven’t been pretty over the year.

Heyman was often used as a catalyst by the company to spark feud between these big stars and they could do just that with Cesaro and Lesnar. Lesnar will face Cena at SummerSlam for the title and what the company can do is to let Cesaro interfere and cost Lesnar his match.

This would leave Cena free to face Reigns at the next pay-per-view while WWE could restore Cesaro’s career by letting him face Lesnar.

Lesnar is a superstar who could just project his opponent into a worldwide stage and that is just what Cesaro needs if he wants to be WWE champion one day.

#1 Aligning with the Authority

For one reason or the other, the Authority angle has been dominating the main event scene with almost all the major storylines linked with it. They also stamped their position as the top heel in the company while terrorizing anyone who stood against the system.

The superstars who were linked with the Authority found direct exposure to the main event scene with big examples like Daniel Bryan, Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns and many more in the list.

Currently, the Authority has Rollins, Kane and Orton in the mix alongside Triple H and from the looks of it; either Kane or Orton is going to bail out soon.

This leaves one void in the heel stable which could be filled in by Cesaro. Walking alongside Triple H and Stephanie while feuding with the lights of Roman Reigns and John Cena will do wonders for the Swiss Superman and will keep him away from his kryptonite, which is Kofi Kingston.
