At 21, Paige became the youngest Divas Champion

PaigeThe peak period of success for many superstars begins when they're inching closer to 30 or beyond. They start around in their mid to late twenties on the main roster and then begin their journey. Though that's not a given. Many wrestlers don't even debut in their early twenties on the main roster, forget about winning a championship. But the five people on this list have done exactly that. One of them being a teenager when he won a title. So, even if they didn’t have a remarkable career overall, they can always boast about the fact that they were on top of the world when they were that young. Here are the 5 youngest champions in WWE history

#5 Paige

At 21, Paige became the youngest Divas Champion

For somebody who started their wrestling career at 13, Paige came a long way in 2014 when she won the Divas Championship on her debut night on the main roster. She stopped the longest reign ever in the divas division. AJ Lee was pinned 1-2-3.

Paige was just 21 years old when she had her the ‘night after Wrestlemania’ moment. The crowd was on its feet. Her win got one of the biggest reactions of the night which something rare for a Divas match.

A year from then, Paige is one of the defining faces of the division, being younger still at 22.

#4 1-2-3 KID

X- Pac as The Kid.

Talking about pinning someone 1-2-3, here’s a lot more about a superstar named the 1-2-3 Kid. He will later be known as X- Pac and a familiar face with D-Generation X. As the 1-2-3 gimmick, he teamed up with Marty Jannetty to win the tag team titles at the age of 21. Even though this reign did not last long, it did create history.

Later, the same guy went on to have an almost 5-star match against Bret Hart. The same superstar went on to be one of the most familiar faces from the Attitude Era. The same superstar became a mainstay in the Triple H gang.

#3 The Champions of two lost titles

Lita and Essa Rios

There was once a Light Heavyweight Championship and a Cruiserweight Championship.

21 seems to be the magical number, ladies and gentlemen since the two superstars who once held these two championships were both 21 years old.

Essa Rios held the former and Hornswoggle held the latter.

You may or may not remember Essa Rios from the late 90s period in the WWE. He was accompanied by Lita to the ring. A bit of his influence remains with Lita with the hurricanerana and the moonsault. He attacked Lita after a match which led to the Hardy Boyz coming to make the save and thus began Team Xtreme.

#2 Kenny Dykstra

Leader of the Spirit Squad

The soft cliched line related to this former WWE superstar is that he was the guy meant for a big push from the Spirit Squad. The same team that had Dolph Ziggler acting as Nicky- a cheerleader.

We all love the fact that Ziggler went through all of that to have a topsy turvy, roller coaster of a career. But back then, he was just a sidekick.

Kenny Dykstra was the leader. And at the age of 20, Dykstra captured the tag team titles. He could have been the beginning of something special but just like the Nexus, this group fizzled out as well.

#1 Rene Dupree

Rene Dupree

This guy right here was one of the most despised men on WWE television. His arrogance at being so French put each and every member in the audience off. It was such a pleasure watching the Rock return and have a confrontation with him.

But before all of that, Dupree became a tag team champion and he was was just a teenager. He was 19 years old.

That sought to set the inferiority coplex levels to a high.

This teenager was a champion on the main roster of the biggest wrestling promotion in the world. How many can say that? None till now.

What makes Sting special? His first AEW opponent opens up RIGHT HERE.
