8 possible feuds for Daniel Bryan

Daniel Bryan seems primed to have an historic Intercontinental championship reign that will feature a series of fantastic matches and effectively raise the title’s prestige. However a lot is unknown about his health and everything is still up in question. That being said, following his bout with Bad News Barrett at Extreme Rules it is time to move on, assuming that he is cleared to compete. So let’s take a look now at 8 potential feuds for the leader of The Yes Movement, Daniel Bryan.

#1 Sheamus

One immediate feud for Daniel Bryan could be with the Celtic Warrior, Sheamus. Bryan and Sheamus are both solid in ring workers and have proven in the past that they can deliver very impressive matches.

On the Monday Night Raw after Wrestlemania, Sheamus returned as a heel with a new look, attacking both Bryan and Ziggler. Sheamus will now face Ziggler at Extreme Rules after which he may find himself challenging Daniel Bryan. However there’s always a chance that the Ziggler v Sheamus feud might continue past ER into Payback.

#2 Bray Wyatt

Bray Wyatt was built up really strong as an unstoppable monster before his loss to The Undertaker. To capitalise on the momentum he gained from working with such an experienced veteran, they need to continue booking him in high profile feuds.

One possible option would be to rekindle his 2013/2014 feud with Daniel Bryan, which featured their astounding bout at the 2014 Royal Rumble PPV. A Bryan v Bray feud would not only help both superstars’ individual careers but would also help further raise the importance of the IC championship.

Wyatt has been hinting at a new feud in his recent cryptic promos and that target could soon be revealed as Daniel Bryan.

#3 Neville

So far, Neville has been impressing fans with the same high-flying fast paced in ring action that boosted his popularity during his successful NXT run.

WWE has had Neville battle a littany of experienced stars since his main roster debut such as Sheamus, Dolph Ziggler and even the current WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins. Working with these experienced veterans has definitely helped his debut.

A feud with Bryan over the IC title would be a dream come true for many fans. Both stars are extremely solid in ring workers and could produce numerous compelling and amazing matches.

#4 Roman Reigns

After losing the main event of Wrestlemania 31 due to a massive crowd rejection, Roman Reigns now finds himself in a boring feud with Big Show and in serious risk of falling drastically.

It’s possible that WWE decide to push Reigns against Rollins but due to the lack of crowd support they might be better to turn him heel.

If Reigns did turn heel, he could easily feud with Daniel Bryan over the IC title as they have previously proved (at Fastlane) that they can put on solid bouts.

#5 Dean Ambrose

Dean Ambrose failed to walk out on top at Wrestlemania 31 in the IC ladder match and now finds himself without much direction. Ambrose looks to probably face Harper at Extreme Rules which should hopefully be the end of his PPV win drought.

Ambrose is still an unbelievable performer and one of the most popular athletes in the entire company so a feud with Bryan for the IC title is a big possibility.

Throw some other guys into the mix like Ziggler or Sheamus (triple threat/fatal four way) and you have the recipe for an instant classic.

#6 John Cena

If WWE is planning to unify the two minor titles (IC/US) than using these two mega stars would serve as the perfect opportunity to do so while also severely increasing the new unified titles prestige.

However if they don’t want to unify the titles then this feud could still happen. A Summerslam rematch could occur as some sort of ‘champion v champion’ exhibition bout and would certainly be legendary.

Cena and Bryan are both incredible athletes and a rematch between the two must happen at some point, so why not now?

#7 Dolph Ziggler

These guys are arguably the two most popular guys in the company right now and also two of the most talented performers as well. The rumoured singles feud for mania between the two fell through in favour of the multi-man ladder match.

During the Wrestlemania build and afterwards, Bryan and Ziggler have clashed on multiple occasions but hopefully that was only just the beginning.

A possible feud between the two culminating in a huge Summerslam payoff, maybe even in an ‘Iron Man Match’ or a ‘Best 2 out of 3 Falls’, would be epic.

#8 Finn Balor

Finn Balor has been touring with WWE for live events and was rumoured to only be staying in NXT for a short amount of time so his main roster debut may be just around the corner.

If Balor were to debut (possibly as a heel) and target Daniel Bryan and his IC title straight away, he would successfully cement himself immediately as a top star. Not to mention that a series of bouts between Balor and Bryan would be pure awesomeness.
