WWE Battleground 2014: 3 Possible Endings for Dean Ambrose vs Seth Rollins match

Feuds fueled by betrayal have always hit the right chords with WWE fans and WWE has once again successfully replicated the same in the case of Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins. The Shield break up was one of the most awaited things as far as a WWE fan was concerned, and when it happened, the creative ended up having a golden goose in their hand in form of this feud. While Roman Reigns was busy pursuing the title, Ambrose exposed his maniacal side to make Rollins suffer for the sin he did. A slowly built up to and fro feud will see its first singles match at Battleground. With the possibility of the feud being easily stretch all the way to SummerSlam lurking around the corner, here is a look at the possible endings for the first outing.

#3 Ambrose settles his score

The main reason for this being a possibility is the way in which Ambrose has managed to win over the WWE fans after the Shield broke up.

WWE universe has been firmly behind Ambrose no matter what the result of his matches are. However, such a fan favorite and talented wrestler piling up losses might not be something that the WWE would want to ensure his long term success.

The number of wins that Ambrose has under his belt is not very impressive and he deserves to have a pay-per-view win against Rollins.

This would open up the angle of Ambrose challenging Rollins for the briefcase at SummerSlam thus extending the angle and giving a credible program for the pay-per-view.

Rollins holding the briefcase would protect him from getting hurt on the longer run as well making this a good option to pull off.

#2 Rollins keeps his momentum up for cash- in

One of the most concerning things about winning Money in the Bank briefcase is finding the right place and time to cash in the contract. And one thing which comes as another headache is building up momentum for the contract holder before his big moment.

So far, WWE has done it well for Rollins and a clean win over Ambrose at Battleground would only add to those efforts. The two superstars are capable of delivering an exciting match from bell to bell and Rollins winning in the end could raise his stock further.

The only problem with this would be Ambrose getting buried to an extent as he will be projected as a maniac who can’t get the job done.

This would make the feud look stale if the creative team stretches it to SummerSlam as Ambrose wouldn’t have a base for his argument if he wants a rematch.

#1 The Authority screws again

If there is anything synonymous with heel in the WWE right now, it has to be the Authority. Triple H and Stephanie McMahon have been making unpopular decision and tagging them as best for business moves for a long time now.

They’ve already screwed Ambrose once at Money in the Bank and another Screwjob would just double the heat from the WWE Universe.

Ambrose will be more over if the thing is pulled off correctly and he will end up being the ultimate rebel against Hunter, which is apparently better than what Reigns brings into the table.

Reigns is sure to end up in the title picture after a feud with the Authority while Ambrose could be a long term replacement. This would also bypass the problem that WWE will have with Ambrose’s credibility if he picks up a loss at the pay-per-view.
