WWE's best off-screen moments of the week

It’s usually a norm that many of the things that superstars and divas do backstage or media tours or on social media, is much better than what they do on-screen on the main roster. These moments actually showcase how awesome they are or can be.Some restablish how awesome they already are. Although, some instances also show how true their negative reputation is (read- Vince McMahon not knowing what’s best for business in the 21st century)Here are five moments from the week that speak volumes even though they happened away from the fictional realm of the main roster.

#5 The Behind The Scenes video for the Smackdown Commercial

The very lastFriday Night Smackdown airedthis pastweek and it saw all three former members of The Shield in action in tha main event.

Now, Smackdown will go back to its former Thursday slot on television. A commercial for it was released a few weeks ago. It was one of the funniest WWE commercials in a while and this week we got a peak into the behind the scenes video of how WWE superstars and divas were improvising their bits and whatthey thought about what theywere supposed to do in a therapist’s office.

Whether it’s the way Xavier Woods looks at Big E’s chest or Paige seeing Marilyn Manson on the Inkblot paper or Dean Ambrose simply being the Lunatic Fringe- it is something that you should watch.

#4 AJ Lee addresses the pregnancy rumours

AJ Lee answered two rumors that have been paid much heed to ever since she took time off to get married to former WWE Superstar CM Punk. The biggest rumor, after she took time off in April, was that she was pregnant, but she returned in June and those rumors were thought to be over. But what has seriously been the constant rumor surrounding her is that she’ll be leaving WWE.

She answered both those rumors on Twitter in less than 14 characters-

“Finally nursing a neck injury from the week before SummerSlam. Not preggers, guys. Way too attached to my abs.”

#3 Brock Lesnar is the Wrestler Of The Year

The Pro Wrestling Illustrated Magazine comes out with its annual list of awards in many categories including ‘Woman Of The Yera’, ‘Most Hated Wrestler Of The Year’ et.etra

The awards, that they give out, are usually held in high esteem by many fans. At least they are considered less biased than the WWE Slammys. And they don’t just look at WWE, they look at other wrestling companies as well.

While Roman Reigns won the Slammy for the Superstar of the year, many fans were divided between Rollins and Lesnar to be the more deserving winners. This has happened in the past when many fans thought CM Punk deserved the same award, while John Cena went on to win it. But PWI always thought otherwise, and that year CM Punk won his second ‘Wrestler of The Year’ award in a row.

This time Lesnar won that award and seriously nobody has had an impact like Lesnar has had. He ended The Streak and he squashed John Cena. Nobody can top that. Not This year and maybe never.

#2 Vince McMahon is writing promos for Reigns

It is just hilarious and it is rather unfortunate.Roman Reigns is considered by many in the higher ups to be theheir apparent but all of his promos recently have just made many fans not want to hearhim speak again.

They haven’t really set him up as the next big thing. There were reports that he himself was unhappy with the material beinggiven to him. This week on Smackdown he went one on one on the mic against his former teammate Rollins and that just showed how much better Rollins is on the mic.

It was totally awkward having Reigns churn out some alliteration and use some uncommon vocabulary and then just wink at the camera. I’m sorry, but only his cousin Rock can sell those words as something really cool.

#1 Dean Ambrose is the \'Most Popular Wrestler\'

If Lesnar winning ‘Wrestler Of The Year’ form PWI is a big deal then so is Ambrose winning the most popular wrestler tag. This should speak volumes about how far he’s come as a singles’ performer despite losing all his important matches. he also won the feud of the year award with Seth Rollins.

And right now, he isn’t really having a storyline as his feud with Wyatt seems to have reached its end. Could it be, that the Lunatic Fringe Dean Ambrose gets back to finish his business with his brother and former teammate Rollins?

Or could it be, that he could really take the cake at the Royal Rumble?
